I registered on Bidmacs.com web site, gave them my credit card and proceeded to web site to use the "50 free bids".  Attempted to bid on $100 cash card from Best Buy. The bidding process was rediculous and after the bidding was up to around $13.00 I left the site, never to return.

The next month there was a $149.99 charge on my Visa credit card. I called Bidmacs at 877-364-9217 and spoke to Julia - #5009 on 12/14/2010. She seemed suprised that I was questioning the charge since it was "clearly stated" on the registration process. She was unable to refund my money until I stated that I was going to call my credit card company and dispute the charge. She then quickly stated that she would "put in a refund request".

On 1/6/2011 I called Julia, #5009 again and asked where my refund was. She stated that she would put in another refund request. The next several weeks I checked my chedit card for a credit and there was still no refund. I called Bidmacs repeatedly only to receive a voicemail message to have my call returned. I never received a returned call and entered a dispute with my credit card  company on 3/29/2011.

My credit card company credited my account and contacted Bidmacs bank to degotiate the dispute. They offered "proof" that they had provided me documented web pages with the $149.99 package during my registration process and had no choice but to return my money to their bank.

Now, the web site is closed and I have no option to use the bids even to bid on items and am out the money they took from me.  They did not present me with their "fees" as they claimed to my credit card company, so Bidmacs.com's dishonesty I am out $149.99.

The BBB of Utah is handling numerous complaints filed by similar users who were ripped off by The Shock Box aka www.bidmacs.com and more too numerous to list at other BBB's in other states. This company has scammed countless others and wasted credit card companies' time and money.
