Until proven otherwise, I believe bidnox.com
is a fraudulent penny auction site. Over the weekend of December 19, I bought
several bid packages from bidnox.com. I did "win" several items: four
bidpacks totaling 950 bids, three iPod touches, one Wii system, and an
Amazon.com gift card. I have yet to receive any of them. When I started looking at the auction more
closely, it seems fairly obvious that the bidding is by "bot"
(automated and computer generated). The auctions involve the same pairs of
names, the bids are always placed at the same time on the ticker countdown, and
auctions end at the same price (or a small range of prices) within their type. I also was completely shut out of one auction
at the last minute when I was 200 bids ($200 into it). In this auction, it
seemed to be a shill bidder rather than a bot, as happened with another
auction for a 300 bid pack. I have emailed the auction site, which denies
bot bidders, and I'm awaiting delivery or products, which I don't expect to
get. On the advice of a consumer group, pennyauctionwatch.com, I expect to file
complaints with the FTC, and the Attorney Generals of New York (where the site
is incorporated) and in Ohio (where I live). I received one two emails from Jay at
bidnox, the text of the last one below. There is also a thread about the site
on www.pennyauctionwatch.com.
Forbor, who filed a complaint at ripoffreport, states that bidnox refunded his
money, and, further, that bidnox asked him to remove the names of Yitzchak
Vrahimy and Aryeh Simkin (who receives the paypal payments) because they are upset.
Forbor also states that, in an email, Joe from bidnox said they are refunding
everyones bids.
I currently have disputes on file with
American Express and PayPal.
The site is registered to:
Yitzchak Vrahimy
5014 16th ave #388
brooklyn, New York 11204 United States
PayPal payments go to Aryeh Simkin.

bidnox - aryehsimkin@yahoo.com, fraud and ripoff
#2Author of original report
Fri, January 15, 2010
As a follow-up to my original report, PayPal seems incapable of investigating any claims that are non-eBay related (even though they accept money from buyers and send them to merchants such as bidnox). My numerous claims are now back being investigated by American Express.
In the midst of my PayPal complaints, the merchant has changed its name from bidnox to Entrepreneurs LLC.
They have not refunded my money. They have not sent any of the products I allegedly "won" at bidnox. In addition, I had 132 unused bids (worth approximately $132). They have "suspended" my account (no email to me on this, I only found this out by accessing their site) and they seem to be keeping that money as well.
The contact person is still aryehsimkin@yahoo.com. Per a posting on (((Redacted)))
bidnox.com also owns dealwonders.com
A bidnox rep keeps asking the poster on(((Redacted))) to removed their names from ripoff report.
