Complaint Review: Bidz.com

Bidz.com FALSE ADVERTISING: Advertised a 7ct sapphire and appraised as synthetic; wouldn't accept return after 15 days. Culver City California

Bidz.com refuses to accept the return of a synthetic sapphire they advertised as a genuine 7 ct sapphire because their policy states it must be returned within 15 days of receiving the item if it is not as described. I had no reason to think it was not as described. It was only by exception that I found out it wasn't genuine.

I decided to have it appraised for selling in my business. I've purchased in excess of $20,000 from bidz.com for my business and now in good conscious I cannot sell it without the expense of an independent appraisal on each item. My business has been put on hold.

At first, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt; an error had happened when posting the item or they have an internal theft problem? But when I had a "live chat" with customer service, they were adamant about not honoring the return. I am appalled that a company can falsely advertise an item and refuse to accept a return.

How many people don't get appraisals on items purchased from bidz.com?
How many people find it's not worth the cost of an attorney, just live and learn?

Well, I have secured an attorney to write a letter to demand the return of this item. If I could, I would return everything I purchased from them. I will never do business with them and I do not recommend anyone else to.

I am also completing a complaint form with the FBI, District Attorney, and the California Attorney General's office. I also plan to find an attorney for a Class Action. When I find the attorney for the class action, I will post his/her name for all the others who have been ripped off by bidz.com. Biggest scam on the internet!

I sent an email per the "rebuttal" with the information requested. I received a telephone message from Claudia Arenas. I returned her call twice. I have not received an email or a returned call in the last 3 weeks.

The only response I did get was Bidz deleted "my orders" on my account. I have copies so they didn't destroy all the evidence of the false advertising.

The latest "scam" is they offer free shipping with 5 items. What they don't tell you or provide a link to is a "policy" (scam) that you don't get the free shipping unless you pay for the item the same day.

This company is so unethical - they are a disgrace to the internet...shut them down!
