Bidz lies to customer, complete fraud, did not do as promised ripoff Culver City California
On 12/09 I placed a bid for this item, as soon as I placed the item I noticed that the system had some errors and with only a few seconds left I was the winner of this auction. I contacted Bidz customer service and asked if this bid would be honored seeing there was an obvious malfunction with their system I recieved the following e-mail
Dear Customer,
The item in question is in your account ready for payment. Yes, we'll honor this bid and you as a legal winner.
Thank you for shopping Bidz.com.
Thank you,
Customer Service Team
My assumption as a consumer is that this would be honored, as I was called the "Legal winner" A few days later I contacted customer service live and they said the item would be shipped in a a day or two, this rep was named "Emma" Well a day later I recieved an e-mail from a "Stephen Valdez" stating I would not be getting this item because of the glitch. I specifically asked originally if I was the winner even though a malfunction occured, I was called the "Legal winner". Funny enough I also purchased 8 other items during this glitch all of which are being shipped to me right now.
It seems as if Bidz is only pulling the expensive items from buyers and sending out the lower quality items. this is unfair business practice and illegal at that, you either have to honor all orders or none at all. Furthermore calling me legal winner, stating my item is ready to be paid for is a contract, one that was broken days later.
I plan on taking this to court, if i don't recieve the item I will sue for their own inflated value of this item. Judging by the amount of complaints on-line and the BBB reports I have read a flood gate of law suits are about to bring the bidz stock crashing. Go figure a company that sues ebay for the trademark $1. no reserve auctions wont honor a $44 win. After stating my case to Mr. Valdez I recieved a call from him but no message left. Sure enough they know I do have a case. I hope they simply just meet their end of the contract and send the item to me. Otherwise I hope they enjoy phoenix weather
