BIG KIa on Bell Road is a TOTAL RIP-Off!
Once you enter their premises you are attracted by all the outrageously low monthly posted on all their Kia and Hyundai vehicles. Then ,over-friendly salesmen scramble to sweet-talk you in buying it NOW. the usual low-interest rates , a mere 500 dollar down and all the hype about them assuring you 100 percent that bad credit/no credit would pose no problem and that once you sign up you get the key to your dream vehicle.which i did. and almost 30 days after i got a call from them saying there are some documents i needed to sign which they just overlooked. Lo and Behold when i got there they rudely demanded i pony up another 1500 dollars on top of my 500 dollars because my credit wasnt good enough. i countered with an additional 500 cash and they said they will get back to me after deliberating with the other members of their company. They came back and instead of acceding to my counter, they put on more demands. They now demanded i get a co-signor or else "you can just take a cab" and go home as long as we leave the keys with them.
I demanded that they put down their demand in writing so that everything is recorded in black and white, They refused to do so and again said in the most rudest of decorum that they would do us a favor by taking us home because there is no way we can leave the lot without either getting a co-signor or returning the key. I asked if I could get my 500 back and they said yes but they would have to deduct a "sizeable" amount for my using their vehicle and i would get a trickle of my 500 dollar cash back ,if at all. I had to accede to their demand because i did load the vehicle with close to 1500 dollars of accessories like GPS, body-enhancement kits and the like and wanted to avoid the embarassment and humiliation.
So in the end i was able to get a co-signor and later on i found out that they intended to put additional charges to the original contract, probably sensing that my co-signor is financially "loaded."
I am examining my legal options. This has caused me great aggravation . Other prospective car buyers, BEWARE!
The dealership is a total Let-Down! A Total Joke! Rip-Off Artists of the Highest Calibre.
They are just to make a quick buck. They instantaneously give away the key to your desired vehicle because they know that they can earn fat commissions if your credit goes through .And if your credit isnt in the best of shape they know they can always threaten you to get a co-signor or charge you outrageous through-the-roof car-rental rates .
Once you sign the contract all signs of friendliness disppear and you are left to your own devices. The salesman i talked to admitted that his job is to "sales-talk" and that is what he is being paid to do which means he will stop at nothing and say all those sweet-sounding lies and half-truths til you get bamboozled into signing. After that everything goes downhill. A bunch of good-for-nothing scam artists

You have admitted never checking the oil in your car, you blew the first engine(probably your fault) now the second one blows and by your admition "'How can a vehicle with about 53K miles can burn up oil within 4K miles of the last oil change?"

Spend a few minutes and a few dollars on a can of oil once a week, it is YOUR responsibility, 1 qt in 1000 miles is normal for almost any engine, so in 53000 miles your down 4 qts. not very good....

I have a 2004 KIA OPTIMA. The engine just failed AGAIN for the second time last thursday, July 24th 2008. I was driving to work, well lets just say i didn't get to work. I lost out on making money that day. Vehicle is towed to BIG BELL ROAD KIA, because i am still under manufacturer warranty. They pull the dipstick out and see there is no oil registering on the stick and they can't warranty it. I chuckled and told the service advisor ROB to shut up, you don't know how to do your job. You are not payed to ASSUME things, that is why you have technicians to look at problems, and then they TELL YOU!

He shocked with my outlash, and then got stern with me stating i need to see records from the last two years. I said no problem, but you should know in the last year and half, you guys rebuilt a small block from the first engine failure. Yet again at that time, you guys didn't want to touch it, because there was no oil in the engine, but the first time the #2 cylinder rod snapped and poked through the bottom of the enigne and through the oil pan; OF COURSE there is NOT going to oil in the engine.

These people are totally incompetent, I even asked the servcei advisor and ask the service manager after they had my vehicle for a day and DID NOT look at it, because he didn't want to waste his time. HA HA HA, i laughed at him over the phone. "Buddy, YOU ARE wasting my time, this car has been nothing but problems from the beginning and you guys show NO compassion towards your consumer. I have an engine failure, and there happens to be no oil in the engine", i asked him,"How can a vehicle with about 53K miles can burn up oil within 4K miles of the last oil change?" Did i get a straight answer, NOPE!

First time i had the engine failure and then realized YES it was a defect, I STILL DID NOT get a god dman rental or loaner from those f**kers. I had to rely on friends and families and imposing where i don't like to. It made relationships very hard at that time, possibly loosing friends because of it. Well samething again! There f**kinhg car failed, and i am out of vehicle that i am still making PAYMENTS on. Are they going to reinburst me for renting my own car, or gas used for multiple rides i had to find or maybe compensate for the jobs i missed out that i could of made over $100 that day, or maybe give me money towards my CAR PAYMENTS i make while the car is just sitting there, because you didn't want to waste your time?

I had to respond to your post because it is about KIA and this time its about BIG BELL ROAD KIA. I am trying to get people to join up like a bandwagon and fight against these f**kers. Like maybe a class action suite. I don't know how far you can just from the purchasing part, but i have reason, upon reason, why i should not SUE their asses for as much as possible. I want to sue them so hard that they file bankrupt and have to close down!

Presently my car is still there. Im pissing off friends for imposing on rides so i can get to work or maybe an interview, or just to get home. Oh why don't i take the bus, sure, let me walk over 20 miles to the station. I live in Cave Creek, there are no busses here. Let me get a cab; well i don't have that kind of money to just be spending a DAY because i thought i was COVERED through my warranty?!??!?? Rent a car? Yeah i could rent a car, but who is going to reinburst me for it??

My point of all this is similar to your complaint. There product fails, so the consumer has to spend more money to compensate the difference of not having a car that is still under the warranty and still no compensation for forking up the cash when they say YEAH we will accept it under warranty, and then what; a shrug of shoulders and *sigh* of sorry?
