These Folks were involved in a transaction together back on February 1 that involved the acquisition of a Local Trucking Agency that employed about 30 contract drivers, including myself. They made a lot of promises that things would not change for the worse in any way, and we would all make more money if we stayed. They couldnt keep our Fuel Cards up to date, we could not get any kind of trip advance, and they were always coming up short on payroll EVERY week. When they were approached on the errors, they went into a little song and dance on how they would take care of it immediately, and it would take them 2-3 weeks. By then they had made 2-3 more errors, so they were a thousand dollars or so behind, but they would catch it up as soon as possible. Then they snuck outta town like a thief in the night, owing everyone for a week's payroll, plus the escrow they had deducted roughly 600 dollars per driver + a week's earnings. Their contract had a clause allowing them 60 days to settle up. After 60 days, they had the nerve to claim that WE owed THEM money. As I said, they are a bunch of Low-Life Vermin, and if you sign on with them you are a fool. It's getting where there are no honest Trucking Companies left. These people walked away with probably 50,000 dollars altogether that didnt belong to them. I will take them to Court and try my best to take them down, but at the same time, I have bills to pay, and I'm already short because of their action. Big Daddy is a deadbeat. They are the kind of Vermin that should be locked up in Jail.

Big Daddy Sued

#2Consumer Suggestion

Big Daddy Drayage has been sued in Newark, New Jersey for lease violations. Is there anyone out there operating out of the Savannah or Charleston locations who has first-hand experience with situations similar to the ones Archie has described?
