Big Lots Online NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FRAUDS Internet

I ordered a special lamp via the Online service and when I recieved the confirmation I immediately noticed they were going to be shipping a different item than I ordered. Because it was to be a birthday present for my daughter, I immediately notified BIG LOTS of "THEIR" error (within 5 minutes) of receipt of confirmation. To my complete shock I received this reply...

Thank you for contacting s****.> Unfortunately, once your order enters the shipping process, we are unable to cancel or make changes to your online order. Our system is designed to process and ship orders immediately. When you receive your order, check your packing slip for our return policies. We will refund the purchase price of the return, minus any shipping or handling charges.

s****.> Now obviously there is no way this item had even been picked up in the warehouse, much less actually shipped. (standard shipping takes 5 to 7 business days), so basically what they told me was that I was being ripped off for shipping charges. Now I intend to reject the delivery of course and have this worhless item returned, and I'll spend twice the price if necessary to reverse the charges so that BIG LOTS doesn't get a dime. Even so, this organization obviously could care less about it's customers and BIG LOTS is nothing short of a complete RIP OFF...AVOID BIG LOTS ONLINE

I have worked for the company over a year their online anything is shotty they do not have the technology or intelligence to run an online store. There retail stores rely on low prices alone if you put into consideration the looks or organization of the store compared to any other coperate run retail store its very subpar they care more about throwing merchandise on a shelf and not the way the merchandise looks or how easy it is for the customer to find its littrally just thrown on the shelf.

On the website, it has a place for a billing and shipping address. You should have double checked.

Once you order, the order is sent through to the location closest to you. They didn't say it had been shipped, they said once you put it in that you can not cancel it or change information.

If it is a package that does not require signature, they will leave it at your front door.

IF THIS PRESENT WAS SO SPECIAL YOU SHOULD HAVE GOT UP AND GONE TO THE BIG LOTS STORE AND PICKED IT OUT FOR YOURSELF.

YOU COULD HAVE PICKED EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANTED, TOOK ACTUAL PHYSICAL POSSESSION OF IT AND PAID FOR IT AND TOOK HOME EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANTED.

YOU SHOULD KNOW BY NOW THAT NO ONLINE MERCHANT CAN COMPETE WITH THE THINGS YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE AND BUY YOURSELF IN PERSON.

I LIKE TO SHOP AT BIG LOTS STORES BUT WILL NOT SHOP ONLINE WITH ANY MERCHANT!
