Daytona Beach Best Buy General Manager is an abusive thief.  My father paid $59.95 for a system recovery disk for the Toshiba laptop.  The disk does not work and he asked me to help him solve the problem.

When I called the store, I learned quickly that the Geek Squad reps are will do everything they can to avoid giving you another copy if the one they sold you does not work.  i was transferred to sales to buy something instead.

I asked to be transferred to corporate and corporate tracked down a teck by the name of Troy in the Daytona Beach store who told me to make the 45 minute drive and bring the disk to have it replaced.

When I showed up and asked for Troy, he was not there and I started getting the run-around.  The Geek Squad Supervisor refused to help me and literally walked away and told his technician not to help me.

When I asked for the general Manager, Bill Gordon appeared and with the help of a tech behind the counter kept insisting they coulkd not help me.  When I asked why, they said they were not techs and diod not know how.  When I asked them to provide a tech, they refused.  When I asked to leave the disk for Troy, whom corporate advised me to see, they refused.  They simply kept smirking and laughing with each other at every attempt I made to get the software replaced.

When I asked Bill Gordon if he wanted me to call corporate to report him and that he could get fired for abusing a customer, he switched from his mocking tone to yelling at a level my wife could hear from the back of the store and said he was going to call the police and try to have them arrest me for trespassing.

He proceeded to yell that he had our home address and all of our personal information to use against us - my father's is on file who is a 75 year old senior citizen by the way.

I called Best Buy corporate to file a complaint and nothing was done.  Bill Gordon had gotten his employees to conjure up a story that matched what he wantd said and corporate would not view the video on file of him verbally abusing me infront of the entire store.

Leson lessons learned:

1. Bill Gordon is an irresponsible thug who enjoys abusing clients.

2. Best Buy does not honor the software they sell you on disks when it is corrupted.  No one will lift a finger to make it right.  They will try to sell you something to replace their error.

3. Buy electronics elsewhere
