Bill Heard Chevrolet ripoff business from hell ,ripoff liars victimized us Plant City Florida
My husband I and were looking to purchase a new vehicle. The "97" Firebird we owned was starting to have mechanical issues and we thought it would be beneficial to own something newer with warrenty.
Knowing we both had past credit issues with divorces we weren't sure if we could obtain financing. Seeing Bill Heard's ads in the paper and on TV we decided to call thier 800 number for pre-approval.
We received a call from one of their sales reps within a couple of days stating they could help. And BOY DID THEY!!!! They first told us we were approved for a new vehicle, but showed us only used.
After spending 5 1/2 hours in there dealership we decided on a 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo, used, with 20,000 miles on it. They told us with our trade in allowance, we only needed to put $500 down. We drove off the lot and thought the deal was finalized.
We weren't truly happy with the payment amount, we were told $438.00 a month, but didn't think we could be approved anywhere else.
One week later we received a phone call from the sales rep (Hugo) saying there was problems with our financing and we needed to return as soon as possible, He needed another $500 down to finalize the deal. With the threats of how we signed a contract and all, we paid the extra $500.
Then on top of it all our payments went up to $527.00 a month. They stuck us in this used vehicle higher than what a new vehicle payment would cost. They chose a ripoff finance company and we were paying over 20% interest.
After driving the car for a year and a half and paying the high payments, we decided to try and trade it in. The thing of it all was no one wanted the car because of the high negative equity.
So basically we were stuck. Come to find out our credit wasn't as poor as Bill Heard led us to beleive it was. We have since purchased two new vehicles for less than the one monthly payment they gave us.
I have also returned the vehicle to them and told them exactly were they can stick it!!! We will never reccomend them to anyone, not even our worst enemy. They shouldn't be able to remain in business.

They remain in business still because people buy into there lying advertising. Yes, you the consumer made them a few more thousand dollars. It's been said that they make more money by paying Alma Washington the fines at consumer affairs and continue doing business as usual. If it sounds to good to be true guess what? It most likely is. Remember Bill Heard is a huge company and you are his pawn.

Most dealers in the nation do spot deliveries.. The difference in this case. She was bought and paid for by a lender.. Hence voluntary repo.
