Our nightmare started about 5 weeks ago. My husband and I knew that we had less than perfect credit, but were continuously hearing on the radio that Bill Heard could get anyone financed, so we decided to take a chance. We started dealing with a salesman named Sean Ashcraft, he kept putting us off onto another salesman. Finally we wound up with Steve Redding, the rudest salesman I have ever met in my life. We have been told several times that we are already pre-approved and that all we had to do was to come down and bring a check for $1,000.00, and pick out the vehicle.
This happened approximately 4 times, and each time that we got down there from College Grove, Tennessee, we were told that the vehicle was already sold. They knew that it would take us at least 45 minutes to get there. It does not make sense to me that they are supposed to be known as Mr. Big Volume, and they can't find a vehicle to fit the finance companies restrictions. Our credit is really bad, but we were told that it could still be worked out, they come up with so many stories, and then those stories change everyday. My husband's brother went down there with him, to help out by writing the check for the down payment, and they wound up selling him a truck.
That is the second nightmare, now they are calling him and telling him that his credit does not support the vehicle that they put him in, and he will have to bring it back, and take a cheaper vehicle. I don't think that these people know their butt from a hole in the ground. Steve Redding told my husband that he should not have anything to complain about, that we haven't ever paid for anything in our lives. First of all that was none of his business, and was not true at all. He doesn't know anything about our situation, and it should not be his place to tell us anything about what we have done or not done.
My husband has talked to at least 3 people down there that claim they are directors, and so far I don't guess that we have found the real director, of course after reading the letters on this site, I would not own up to being the director of Bill Heard Chevrolet either. I would'nt even own up to being the janitor, because the way that they do people, there has to be alot of crap to clean up there.
If we did not need this vehicle we would not even consider going through with the deal, but at this point we don't have a choice we're told by Bill Heard. I think something needs to be done about this ripoff dealership, and I hope that they will be shut down soon.

FIRST OF ALL, I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT SHAWN AND STEVE ARE GREAT SALESMEN WHO HAVE HELPED FAR MORE PEOPLE THAN THEY HAVE UPSET. THIS IS A SIMPLE CASE OF UNEDUCATED NEGLIGENCE. YOU HAVE NEVER WORKED AT A DEALERSHIP THEREFORE YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND.
SOMETIMES, DELINQUENT CREDIT CAN BE A HUGE FACTOR IN VEHICLE SELECTION. BILL HEARD IS A LARGE DEALERSHIP THAT HAS A LARGE CUSTOMER BASIS AND A VEHICLE CAN NOT BE HELD UNTIL YOU GET THERE TO PURCHASE IT.
SO YOUR LONG DRIVE IS NOT FOR NOTHING. IF THE CREDIT OF A CUSTOMER IS BAD ENOUGH THEN ONLY A FEW VEHICLES WILL WORK FOR A PARTICULAR CUSTOMER.
FINANCING INSTITUTIONS GIVE BILL HEARD THE QUALIFICATIONS THAT MUST BE MET AND SURE THEY DO MAKE MISTAKES BUT PEOPLE LIKE YOU DO NOT SEE ALL OF THE PEOPLE THAT ARE HELPED OUT BY BILL HEARD CHEVROLET.
BILL HEARD WOULD HAVE LOVED TO EARN YOUR BUSINESS BUT THEY, UNLIKE YOU, ARE NOT PERFECT. CAN YOU HONESTLY BLAME THEM FOR A MISTAKE AND CAN YOU REALLY BE MAD.
CONSIDER THIS, IF THEY DONT SELL YOU A CAR THEY DO NOT GET THE MONEY AND THE SALESMEN DO NOT GET PAID.
DO YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT THEY LIKE NOT GETTING PAID.
BESIDES THAT BILL HEARD TAKES A CHANCE IN HELPING CUSTOMERS WITH LESS THAN PERFECT CREDIT.
YOU HAVE CREDIT PROBLEMS FOR WHATEVER REASON AND THEY TRIED TO HELP YOU. SHOULD THEY REALLY BE SHUT DOWN.
THEY CAN NOT HELP EVERYONE BUT THEY HAVE HELPED SO MANY AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. TELL EVERYONE THEY HAVE HELPED TO GIVE THEIR CAR BACK IT WONT HAPPEN.
THOSE PEOPLE ACTUALLY APPRECIATE OUR HELP. WE SELL MORE CARS THAN MOST DEALERSHIPS SO WE MUST BE HELPING ALOT OF PEOPLE. SORRY WE MISSED YOU BUT DONT TURN YOUR BACK ON THOSE WHO TRY TO HELP YOU.
