I purchased a Geo Tracker from this dealership back when it was Ray Korte.. I always maintained the vehicle and had it repaired at a very reputable shop..

In April of this year my vehicle stopped running.. The engine would not start.. I had it towed into the shop and evaluated..

The engine was severely damaged by a part that broke off and then froze up.. the crank keyway where the crankshaft goes into the engine has a moveable part ( a ring) that broke off and then froze causing the crakshaft to severely damage the intake portion of the engine to the point at which it could not be repaired.

My mechanic assured me that it was not caused by poor maintenance or neglect.. In fact.. there was no way I could have known..He also told me that they had seen two others just like it in the preceding month and that it appeared to be a faulty manufacture of this particular engine. The other two that they saw were the same model.

My mechanic assured me that it never should have happened.. It cost me over $3,000 for another engine.. plus I have to rent a vehicle while mine was being repaired.

I believe that chevy and Bill Heard Chevrolet owe me $5,000 for the replacememt of the engine plus rental and aggravation costs.

Don't buy a Tracker from these people as the engines are faulty!! and you will gert stuck with a vehicle that will not run!
