Bill Pierre Chevrolet ripoff, fraudulent, bold faced lying to sell car Seattle Washington
I got financed to buy a used mini-van from bill pierre chevrolet.
The mini-van had 90,000 miles on it. I told the dealer and the financial people there that with that many miles on it I would need an extended service gaurantee becasue I would not be able to afford anything major (400.00) or more to break on it for I had to pick up things i had in storage in another state with it and then I would be delivering pizza's with it, (it is my main source of income)and that I only made 1,200-1,400 a month.
They told me that it was no problem and as soon as i was actually financed through the bank and handed them the check they would sell me an extended service gaurantee which basically means I would pay them so that if anything broke down on the car they would fix it for free. It's a kind of insurance offered through them and their mechanics at the dealership. All the while I was signing papers saying that I would buy the car as-is.
After I handed them the check from the bank, I asked to get signed up for my extended service gaurantee because I was leaving to get my things from storage in a couple of days and needed to be covered. They quickly told me there was no way they could sell me the gaurantee because it had to many miles on it.
They told me I would have to get one from my bank I was financed through. I went down to my bank and they told me the same thing. Sorry, to many miles, we can't offer a service gaurantee. 2 days later the car broke down with a broken transmission, cost me 3,000.00 to fix, plus another 600.00 or so because i had to stay in a hotel for 4 days while it was being fixed and pay extra for my u-haul trailer. 4-5 days after that, the van started sputtering and stauling out while trying to deliver pizza's and then completely broke down.
I took the van to the dealer and said, listen, you frauded me into buying this van by telling me you would sell me an extended service gaurantee and i have lost 6 days of work (600.00) and 3,600.00 from fixing the car so far. They told me that they would buy the van back from me and give me credit for the money i had spent on the transmission and get me into a better car. Then they went back on their word when they found out I hadn't made a large down payment on the vehicle and told me they werent going to buy the car back from me or give me credit for fixing the transmission.
So I want to take them to court. So far the state attorney general's office is or was mediating with them. I havent heard from the attorney general's office in over 2 weeks and he has been working on it for 2 months now. I am losing more money because i have to have insurance on the van and am still making payments on it and the windshield wiper motor has gone out on it as well. I went out and bought a new car and the van is sitting in my driveway. ( i had to buy another car because my work was going to fire me because i was losing to much work for the van kept breaking down.) So if there are any lawers out there that want to take my case I want to sue for the transmission and work lost and payments i have made since it has been broken down and court costs, probably around 10k. call me or e-mail me. Thanks
