Bill Quimby is a d***hebag, plain and simple.

I called up inquiring about a number his company owns, and he was the biggest baby in the world. After asking a few simple questions (the number is non-working and I wanted to know how to purchase it), he said that I was snooping and he was going to put red flags in the account.

When I asked him why he thought I was snooping, he said I was up to something sneaky. I laughed and told him I understood his need to "protect" his client, but that I was trying to make a legitimate business offer to them. He further whined about my "snooping" and hung up on me.

It is my opinion that he was just scared someone was going to take his precious little toll free number away from him. Never do business with this soft spoken, spineless, sorry excuse for a man.

You can complain about us not giving you confidential customer info all you want, but that's not a rip off

Dear Zany,

I received your call asking about a toll free number which we've gotten for a customer, but all I did was refuse to give you any customer information. Phone companies are required to keep their customer information confidential and the ownership information of a toll free number is one of the main keys to transferring a toll free number. You were amazingly persistent and continued to ask questions relentlessly. I offered to pass on your information to the customer and only withdrew that offer when you crossed the line from being persistent into being nasty.

I guess this complaint proves two things. #1, I was right and you were nasty. #2, I protect my customer information and don't give it out even to someone absolutely determined to get it. You can complain about me not giving out the information I'm not supposed to give out, but the toll free numbers we get for customers are valuable and we have a responsibility to protect them and their information, even if that upsets you.

When you call a toll free number, the owner gets a detailed list of every phone number the time and date and duration of the call. I could obviously write about you if I wanted to, but that would only prove I am a jerk like you. Fortunately for you, I'm not, so I'll be polite and not even include your name address or phone number unless you continue. But if I have any reason to even suspect that you're taking this further, don't assume that I won't respond in kind and include your personal information.

We didn't rip you off or do anything to you. You were the one that called me on my toll free number and harassed me for not giving you information we have an obligation to protect. I withdrew my offer to forward an email for you to the end user, only after you became rude. (no surprise there)

You can have all the money back we ripped off from you. Oh wait. We didn't charge you anything because you're not the customer and you didn't want to be our customer. You just wanted to get someone else's information that you're not supposed to have. So you can complain about someone and call me names for not giving you our customer information all you want to but I think that ultimately says more about YOU than it does about anyone else. Have a nice life.
