I wanted to file a Chapter 13 and was told by an assistant that the monthly payments wouldn't be expensive. It would be in my budget.  Well, after talking to the attorney Kevin and paying my money to begin the case, I'd decided that next day that I didn't want to retain them because the monthly fee was too expensive.  I called and emailed the attorney Kevin.  He stated that I had to fax or email a statment that I didn't want Billbusters to submit my case and I was dropping the Chapter 13.  Then I asked about my refund.  He said well I did speak with you and crunched in the numbers, there's no refund.  I told him that I was under the impression that the fee was to begin the process and since I chosed not to retain this company, I think I should at least receive a refund or a partial refund.  He then said that he have to speak with the accounting department.  Since then, I have emaiiled and faxed him and no response.  So basically I got screwed out of my money for nothing.  This is unfair business practice.  No one should never go to Billbusters, they will not refund your money in case you do not retain them.  They are a bunch of crooked lawyers!!!!
