I was contacted by Biltmore Who's Who and someone gave me this spill (a man) that I was nominated to become a member. This guy had great lip service and all the tactics of a scam artist now that I think of the conversation. It sounded great especially if you were interested in starting a business.

Anyway, I decided to join and gave my credit card number and was charged $378.95 a one time fee to join and I was also to get two round trip tickets. He told me I could upgrade to a more expensive one for almost $700. I declined. He said I had a month and could upgrade and would still get the 2 round trip tickets. I felt ok, because I have heard of Who's Who before.

When I got my 1st billing statement the amount was $378.95. The next month I got another billing for $199.00. I was mad and tried to contact the company leaving messages and no one called me back. I got to thinking this is a scam or something is wrong. There were to be not other charges according to the spill from the man I spoke to. After 3 calls to the company and no return calls, I called my credit card company and reported this unauthorized $199.00.

They said that it could be disputed but no guarantee the funds would be returned. I was very upset and said "how could someone charge on my card if I did not authorize it?" The CC company said there was nothing they could do but dispute the charges.

I finally went on line to check further and file a report to BBB and looked up this company and surely I found SCAM after SCAM and people being ripped off on this Ripoff website. More furious I called my CC once again and reported the $378.95 charges to a fraudelant scam company. They once again said they would try to dispute again. I asked what were the chances of them getting into my account again. The CC company said any online merchant can at any time. I said so "I was not protected?" Then I said I can close my account and no one will get into it since changing the account number is still accessible to merchants. I could not believe what I was hearing.

So these companies continue to scam and rob people and there is nothing we the consumer can do!!! I fail to believe that and aiming to go public, get a lawyer, contact the FBI or whatever to STOP this easy way of making a dollar for some greed written scamming company. This is not right!!!
To this day I have never heard from this company.

I worked for Wellington Who's Who, which has recently become associated with Biltmore. I know firsthand that your credit card company has every right to return your money to you because there were cases I witnessed that had customers getting a full refund. At Wellington, before the company was sold to Davivi Marketing and associated with Biltmore, any phone calls were immediately returned because the company wanted to be what it claimed to be, a respectable business for professionals. Now that Davivi has taken over Wellington I see how Biltmore handles situations. Completely unprofessionally and without a care of negative publicity. I would not stop fighting for my money back, and I would also to continue to try and let the world know how these companies do business. In todays economy the last thing we need is another business trying to screw the little guy and I think that is the new Wellington/Biltmore motto.
