BioHealth College Substitute Teacher with NO CREDENTIALS/ improper computers for students/ no IT personperson San Jose, California
First, let me start off by saying...shame on me! I saw this coming yet I allowed my instincts to be swayed by a very slick and polished sales crew, namely Sam Shirazi, Jai Sharma and Robert Jones. I met Robert Jones in the front of the employment development department. He recruits new students with a very passive, low key approach and I really liked the man. He was very personable and if you talk to him, you will learn that he is a guitarist and has his own band. He talked me into this college sharing with me how great it is and that within 6-7 months I would be making 50-75 K a year in Biotech. I went in and sat down with Jai and he gave me a small tour and asked me some questions about my previous work. What they never mention is that your credits are NOT transferable and do not apply towards a degree. A student that started the same day as me said our credits were transferable to the University of Northern California in Santa Rosa...I called them and was told they would not accept the credits from this College...Great!!! 3 and a half weeks later I find this out...my own fault though.
After allowing myself to believe I was going to receive a genuine education from this College after enrolling, the first 2 days of class were almost undoable. I've been to College and this was not College! They don't properly tell you your going to be CRAMMED with a full course in Biology in just 4 weeks!!! We had only 4 students in our class...1 or 2 dropped out in the 1st week, another student and myself left after 3 and a half weeks. Your Teacher will want you to do a presentation in the second to third week...BETTER NOT USE A MAC though...even though the desks in biology have a Mac on every desk and the Catalog states on page 3 under "Facilities"...equipment consists of PC/Mac computers...My presentation was not able to work on their computer/ equipment. Their IT "Genius "came into our class and could not figure how to transfer MT PowerPoint presentation to their computer. I was told I would have to start over from scratch...this took almost a full week of my time...(remember only 4 weeks of biology)..and then a final test! Oh...there's a major test every week..oh and what they didn't tell us was that these tests were a part if your Final...meaning, you were taking your Final and didn't even know it till the last week!
I did some research and wound up here...the previous reports on this FAKE College are completely accurate in my experience here. The Financial Aid woman named Susanna Martinez has a s****.>

An update on return to Biohealth College...
My wife and I returned to the College as instructed by Amir..the VP for the withdrawal paperwork. We were greeted by Susanna Martinez the Financial Aid person and she tried to force a termination paper on me. My wife explained we were there to sign withdrawal papers as promised. Miss Martinez led us to her office with Amir and we all sat down. we asked for the withdrawal papers and her reply was..."no...no...no..." We looked at Amir and my wife asked for the papers and he had no reply...Susanna had a fit and my wife said we were leaving and that we would handle this legally.
As we left we were followed out to the parking lot by Jae...the admissions person. Jae was raising his arms and yelling at us in a hostile manner challenging us to fight him...as several students looked at this, we pointed at Jae and told the students.."This is the example of who is offering you an education"! "Scam...scam...scammm" we yelled, then left to the lite rail where the police greeted us. The police were nice and told us the College called them. They explained that they have had several complaints about this College and others. They said they know there a scam and there are a few out there but the best thing to do is handle this in a legal manner. We thanked them and they told us if we have to come back to have paperwork with us, just in case. The police left.
I received a letter that is completely fabricated by this college....a termination letter. My wife and I believe it was written so the College can try to claim some money from the loan. OK.
Bottom line; Biohealth College will RIP YOU OFF ! I recently looked up job openings in the biotech field....all employers want a degree and you will not get a degree from this College....your credits are no good !!!! My advice....go to a REAL COLLEGE. This one just wants money and they will fight you....if you want to know more, you are invited to email me at : (((ROR redacted)))
