This company was dissolved in March of 2018 (See Companies House, UK for Proof) yet maintains a website (bitminer.io) that will allow you to sign up to mine BTC in the cloud, as well as accepting payment in BTC to upgrade your mining to a faster hashing rate.  The First Gazette Report listed with Companies House (a funcitonary of the UK Government wherein all incorporations and subsequent required business filings are maintained) indicates that all property of the original company is now property of the Crown.

This is probably why the website continues to exist and continues to (ostensibly) mine BTC.  Furthermore, the company lists "PAYOUTS" as  recent as two days ago (this complaint being filed June 1st, 2019).

The BTC payment to BitMiner was confirmed by the exchange which processed the withdrawal, so someone is definitely actively still managing and benefitting from the bitminer.io website.   It is conceivable that they are somehow related to the Crown, as the First Gazette (apparently the first report to Companies House of a pending dissolution of the original Bitminer Cloud EU LTD) indicates full possesion of all corporate residue by the Crown.

Not being an attorney (but having earned a paralegal certificate in the past) the question arises as to whether or not a class action suit against the Crown is possible.  There are a significant number of complaints registered here, and I suspect many more not having taken the trouble to publicly declare their experiences.  This could amount to a huge ripoff, but it would require an attorney or perhaps several attorneys to evaluate if their is a workable case.  It is interesting that the webiste continues to operate, which leads one to suspect that BTC is being mined to some extent.

It is over 18 hours since I requested a minimum withdrawal from my account, which has yet to be received by me (don't expect that I will get it) and there has been no response to my inquiries either.   In light of the other complaints listed in Ripoff Report I am not surprised.
