I purchased a puppy from Brenda Mattson on 8/24/12 from her website via PayPal. After making the purchase I called to confirm it. She stated when the puppy would be old enough for me to pick it up. For one week prior to that day I repeatedly called and sent e-mails to her to set up the place and time to meet to get the puppy. She never answered her phone or returned any e-mails. I then called PayPal to let them know the situation and asked them to try to get in touch with her because I still wanted the puppy.
PayPal then sent her an e-mail once she got that e-mail she texted me right away accusing me of backing out of the purchase. Brenda Mattson then went on to give me lame excuses as to why she would never return my calls and e-mails. She then went on to say that I could no longer recieve the puppy for which she was paid in full for. She has not refunded my money and I did not recieve the puppy.
I contacted PayPal about this and they said that they couldn't refund my money because the purchase of animals is not protected by them. Brenda Mattson knew that I had never used PayPal before, she walked me through the purchase of the puppy. I believe she never had the intent of letting me recieve the puppy for which I paid for. I believe that she had planned to steal my money.
Brenda Mattson is a cruel, callous woman that is playing off the emotions of individuals. I would suggest that NO ONE purchase anything from this woman.
I have text messages saying that she is refunding my money but have yet to see one penny of it.

After speaking with the police and agreeing to finally meet to fulfil her end she called me and said she didn't have his registration papers. When I asked her when I would recieve them she then said she was going to cancel the sale. I said fine, I just want my money back. She then went on to say that PayPal will not allow her to cancel it which is an outright LIE! The claim is in dispute but she can end that dispute by simply canceling the sale and refund my money. You might wonder why she won't do this, one simple answer: Brenda Mattson. knows that if she doesn't actually cancel the sale she will automatically get to keep my money and the puppy that I paid for.What a wonderful little scam she is doing! She can sell any puppy countless times and keep getting paid for it while still keeping the puppy. If this isn't theft, deceptive business and unethical I don't know what is. I highly recommend that NO ONE ever do business with this woman! And to top it all off she has a daycare business!! I cannot believe people would ever want this woman around their children!! If she is so inhumane and unethical with helpless puppies how could she be a good role model for young children. She even knew this puppy was a present for my daughters birthday. My daughter has been counting down the days for this puppy!! I truly. do not know how this person can live with herself!

After I contacted her local police department they called her. She says she is now willing to let me get the puppy. I am to meet her tomorrow to pick him up :) Good or bad I will report what happens tomorrow.
