black bear haversack trading company black bear haversack red flags & potential hacking.
I looked at this website, thinking...well at first glance it appears legit. however, a few thing worried me.
I've listed a few major RED FLAGS bleow:
1: When you go to log in or sign up, a strange thing happens: for people who already have an account, a pre- saved password, that is made up of nonsense numbers and letters and is not your own password, is visible in the "password" box. Seems like a potential hacking thing to me. right away, i regretted giving them my email and other info. i disclosed when i created my account.
2: No place on their website to write reviews; this is usually an obvious red flag. (however, one exception was an unrelated buisness that had reviews on BBB, and google maps, but did not offer a place for reviews on their actual website.)
3: No external (off-website) review info on BBB or google maps, nothing i can find except for on ripoffreport.com. Some of those good reviews on here seem fake. Just read through them and even a toddler can pick that out as a lie.
4: i found other complaints on this website from Black Bear Haversack, and i decided to read a few. Most the complaints didn't seem fake to me, they actually did seem as if it would be quite hard to just make all of that up.
5: it's virtually impossible to find on Google maps if you search it as a buisness, and they don't make their location obvious on their website, either. Probably not a coincidence, since google maps is one of the first placese people will go to write a review if the actual webiste, itself, does not have a place to write reviews.
