Black Hawk Moving Co Misquoted Charges, Damaged Home Refuse to Fix It Greenwood Village Col
Please consider doing business with another moving company. They were wonderful in the beginning before the actual move started. When the move was completed at the first house, I was hit with a service fee on the paperwork. This was not quoted on their initial quote for services.
The movers were waiting while I was the phone with their manager. I apologized to them for making them wait. They told me this happens all the time, and they were used to it. I called to speak to the owner the follow day, and he called me a liar about his staff say that. Really professional.
I told him it was clear as day on his paperwork and he just needed to update it. The quote didn’t say service fee, and the final bill did. He then instructed his staff to be out of our new home so no additional charges would be made over the time the deposit was for.
In doing so, the movers just put things anywhere, and we still can’t find many things to fix items they took apart. I also tried to speed up the move by wrapping furniture ahead of time. That didn’t work, and they also took 8 of my moving blankets when I told them how many I had. The icing on the cake came when they were moving my bed into the bedroom.
There is an external door to the bedroom, but they decided to use the small hallway. The chipped up the walls, and I had to find it and confront them. I called the company the day of move, and they told me they would contact me back in 10 minutes. They then instructed one of the movers to take photos.
I called again two days later, and they said someone would reach out to me. No response back. I called the company back again and spoke to a Bob. He asked if I had the paint color to match, and I told him I did. He said he would call back to schedule a time to come out. Nothing. I called the company again. They said I needed to submit a claim.
I then received a text (which I still have) from the movers asking if I would be around to come to fix the walls. I told them I wanted someone qualified in drywall repair and I was told to submit a claim. No response back. The claimed needed me to call around for quotes for the estimated cost of repairs.
I emailed the claim form back to them, and they said they had 90 days per DOT laws to respond. I put a note in my calendar, almost sure I would hear back from them before then. Nope. I reached out to them on the 90th day. They denying the claim. Of course. I have uploaded the photos of the quote, bill, and text from movers.
