Holly you are a backyard breeder and we are professional breeders. we do health testing on our dogs and follow through with our application process.  We tried to give you the benefit of th doubt by trusting you. You have no professional or customer service skills. You had a year to tell us you had nearly tripped your price. "Greed must be setting in for you"

PRICE WAS NEVER THE ISSUE.  YOU MISLEADING US AND NOT DOING MEDICAL TESTING IS THE ISSUE!!!

I am not surprised to see this report here. The breeder, Jessica Witcraft, from Burnt Kerosene Corgis of Texas basically threatened to post negative claims against me if I did not sell her three female puppies for less than half the price I am selling them for. Most of what she has to say here is false or misleading and as Rip off Reports say, they do not guarantee the authenticity of each report, so take this report for what it is.

The puppy she is referring to did have a blue eye which is unusual but no unheard of. Anomalies happen in dog genetics. The same goes for white boxers who are produced by professional dog show breeders that breed two flashies together, but are sold as pets. I admit I made a mistake selling this pup with breeding rights, but was told that his offspring would be sold on spay/neuter contract only. Shame on me for doing so, but lesson learned to conduct a more thorough investigation into who I sell to. The other puppies in the litter were normal and sold for $800 each to cover our dogs vet bills. He was reduced based on age (12wks) and his blue eye, which is not AKC standard.

As for the “sick puppies”. Things happen, puppies get into stuff. As a responsible breeder I notified the owners and held the puppies so they could be treated by my vet before going to their new homes with a clean bill of health! As the poster says, the puppy was healthy when she got him! SICK PUPPIES?! NOT HERE!

I did agree at the time of sale that I would notify her when we had another litter. I did notify her that we were going to be allowing our female to have another litter and would keep her updated. We begin to add in puppy food to our females diet when we are planning to breed to make sure she is healthy and has all the nutrients she needs. Consequently, she also begins to gain weight because she is an “easy keeper”, so she appeared pregnant. I advised the people on my list, which included a couple of families before BK corgis, that we would take her to our vet to be checked, and found that she had just gained weight and was not developing puppies. We notified everyone and asked that if they were still interested we would notify them when she has her next litter. No one has to stay on the list, as we do not except deposits until puppies are born! I stayed in communication, may have missed a call, but always get back to people. When our litter came I notified everyone, a couple declined, but I still had one family interested including BK corgis. I posted my ad for the litter and gave the first family choice as they had sent a deposit and are deciding between two puppies. I posted them for $1000 for pet price, and $1250 for full registration, due to cost of veterinary care for all puppies and for my dogs, including their general care such as food, shampoo, ect. We are hobby breeders with only one pair of corgis, so our goal is to raise money to cover such costs, unlike larger business breeders who are selling puppies for higher prices to make a profit.

The poster assumed that all of our dogs were sold for the same price as the one she purchased and when we entered negotiation for THREE of my female corgis I offered them for $3450 and offered to drive 12hrs to Texas to get them to her! More than generous, considering that the total for all three should have been $3750 for just the puppies, not including a gas fee for delivery since we live so far apart and do not ship for the health of our puppies! She had tried to get me to sell the puppies for $500 each, and then sent an email to say that she did not like my offer and she would NOT pay more than $750. I took that as she no longer wanted to negotiate and I was not going to sell for such a low price. After I explained that we could not be low-balled she made the offer of $1000 for two puppies instead of three.

She has been relentless, forceful, her emails and texts have been slightly rude and harassing, so we agreed to no longer sell her the puppies. They will find much better homes with other families. The poster has remained on my list until today and I have placed people on my list behind her and they have been waiting patiently for her to make a decision, agree on payment, and send a deposit. We couldn’t agree and a deposit was never sent to hold a puppy.

I have been nothing but nice to this lady despite her sending strange texts, rude emails, and threatening to discredit me if I don’t sell her puppies at the price she is wanting, and that I had to agree to her terms by noon this day! I am always upfront with people and I genuinely care for my puppies, and have learned my lesson when dealing with larger scale breeders.
