The DVDs I rented from Blocbuster were returned to the store on time. In fact, they were in early. I know they were in the box too because I always check before droping them off.

I recieved a call a few days after the due date telling me that they have not yet recieved the DVDs. I explained to the employee I was certain they were returned and the caller told me they were doing an inventory soon and will let me know if they turn up.

Just a few days later, a bill came in the mail saying I owed Blockbuster $33.40 for the lost DVDs. I called the store up again and the employee on the line told me the DVDs did not turn up in the inventory and I will have to pay the bill. I decided there I would just not use Blockbuster's services anymore.

About two weeks later, another bill came in the mail asking the same amount of $33.40 to be paid. I called the store once more saying I was certain the DVDs were returned, I searched my own apartment to make extra sure I didn't have them, and I will NOT be paying the bill.

About three weeks after that, I recieved a letter from the Credit Protection Association located in Dallas, TX. It says that the bill of $33.40 must be paid or it will reflect on my credit.

I guess I can't ignore this anymore. I am going to the Blockbuster store to turn in the $33.40 which does not belong to them. I am paying for DVDs that Blockbuster has lost. In a sense, they are stealing from a customer who has been using their service for years. But they won't recieve the money just yet, not until I finish typing this.
