Blockbuster Used A Collection Agency For A Charge I Never Knew About Blockbuster collection agency for bogus fees no notification of money owed Reston Virginia
I haven't used Blockbuster in a year or more, I've been using Netflix. Today I received a collection agency notice for $14.80 in behalf of Blockbuster. I called my local store, this must be a mistake. But they told me there was $10.50 of late fees for "something" over 228 days ago, the rest of the data was purged out of the system so they could not tell me what the fee was for.
I never received a bill or any notice that I owed them money and I am furious that without any notice I now have a collection agency after me. I have had PERFECT credit for 35 years!
This is the poorest customer treatment I can think of and if this is the way they handle customers, then they are going to lose even more of us. If I ever thought of returning to Blockbuster and giving up Netflix I certainly won't do it now!!

I really enjoyed the, "this is the poorest customer service" schpeel. You know why? It wasn't done by a person...it was all automatic in the computer. There was no customer servicing lol
Also, was your address and phone number updated? It was almost a year ago, I'm sure you remember every detail of that 200 days ago.

They are obviously concerned about keeping a customer.... oh wait. You aren't one of their customers anymore.
Maybe you DID have a late movie and you forgot about it. $14.80 isn't even a huge late fee.
