I won't dispute charges for late-fees and such, as I'm sure many do. If I'm late it's my fault. But if indeed the charge to my account is from a valid late fee, shouldn't the late fee itself be timely, and not 4 months after the fact? Thus I'm left wondering if this is a valid late-late fee, or if there's a different, erroneous charge to my account.

The last person I spoke with concerning Blockbuster, and this particular location, warned me against doing business with them for just that reason, namely erroneous charges made by others. I was under the impression until today though that it was an isolated incident.

The charges are made by store #230 according to my bank, but I can't find anything to cross reference that with to ensure that this is indeed the (only) Blockbuster I've visited.

My biggest complaint and warning is that they require a credit card or debit card account number, which is accessible by any number of employees, to automatically charge your account. I should have been weary, and will never again give that information to any retailer.

Employees in fact cannot access a members credit card info (not even managers) and at the most can only see the type of card and the last 4 digits. All charges made to your card beyond regular transactions when you are simply renting and pay by credit card and sign the slip, are done by an automated computer system in the middle of the night. Employees have no involvement, influence, or control over this system.
