I have rented 3 movies on 2/19/04, I returned them on 2/21/04 before I went to work, which was 7:18 am.. Since then I rented 2 movies on 3/2/04 and no mention was made of any late charges.

When I rented movies last night, 3/19/04, suddenly I had $12.00 in late charges!!! I told my wife about this, and she said this happened to her before but they removed, when my wife had proof that she returned the movies on time. This company will do whatever they can to make a profit, even rip you off!!!

I would be interested to learn what kind of proof your wife could get from BBV upon returning videos to the store.

I worked in 2 different stores, and even if you hand employees the videos or drop them into the return slot, they do not give out receipts.

The only way to back up a claim of return on time, is for the employees to actually go look on the shelf for that tape, cause if someone else were to try to rent it, the computer won't let them, they would have to get another copy, and after the transaction the employee can check in the tape, and bring it to the managers attention for the "late" renter to get taken off the late list.
