Blockbuster Video ripoff definately dishonest scam I am suing! fraudulent ripoff business Orlando Florida
If you think that when you drop off movies in drop off box, your wrong! If you dont personally watch them checkin your movies, you could be told your movies were never returned!!!
I dropped off the movies I had rented in their drop box, in trust that they will be checked in. Sure WE ALL get late charges, but when they lie and say the movies were never returned, you have a big problem on your hands!
Within 1 month or less, YOU will be billed by a "Collection Agency" and have outrageous charges and possibly on your credit report!!! I have great credit, and am suing Blockbuster for these reasons! I know for a fact I returned their DVD movies! I could care less about stealing them!!! I have been a customer
of Blockbuster for YEARS!
I had went to rent movies, not knowing of this problem. I had not yet recieved any mail regaurding any late or nonreturned movies at that time. They told me I owed $50.76. At first their employee told me that I didnt return the DVDs, then changed and said that I DID return them and that the 50. was late charges!
The manager wasnt there at time and I had to wait to talk to him. When I did speak to a manager on the phone, he REFUSED to give me bar gragh or inventory #'s for those DVDs that I suposedly stole! He also had told me that it wasnt $50.76 that i owed, it was really $114.34. I find it strange that the amount that THEY SAY I owe changed after a couple of days!
The day I had spoke to manager I recieved a letter from "Credit Protection Association, L.P., that I owed Blockbuster $90.74. So which is it? Seems like too many different prices I suposedly owe!
Like these DVDs they say I have stole because thats how they treat you during this, is worth which ever fee they make up this week to be on my credit report? And as the manager told me on the phone that day, that these charges ARE on my credit file!!!
I believe that they are running a SCAM with this agency that collects for them! They wouldnt give me inventory code for these items, AND cant give me correct figure on what I suposedly owe! So, why should I be treated like a criminal, a thief? I know d**n well I returned their stupid movies!
I will not stand for anyone to charge me false charges and try to put blemishes on my credit!
I will personally see to it that their records of mine and others who are being victimized by their lies, and them being thieves and scamming customers this way! Im sure there are plenty of people being scammed on movies they DID RETURN to Blockbuster in trust of the drop box on Blockbuster property.
The mananger knew that if I had the bar code or inventory #'s to these movies, that I would go in and find them myself!
By now they probably changed them on those particular movies!
Seems like a perfect scam for them to try! I told that manager that I will be taking them to court and proving that they are scamming people! And the manager said that knowone takes them to court, and that people pay it anyway. WELL NOT THIS PERSON! I will not pay for something I did not do or have possesion of thier property! I am not a theif and refuse to be accused of being one! Innocent until proven guilty? Not with Blockbuster!
They charge you regaurdless! BUT mark my words, I will spend ten times the amount their trying to charge me or more, just to prove that they are scamming me and others!
Because if this does or has hit my credit file, I will sue for the 7 years it will be on there regaurdless if it is taken off!
Anyone who is going through this themselves or simular, needs to write me, as I will be suing them on behalf of all victims of their bad business and scamming practices! And YES even the late fee crap! I am standing up to this company and will be publicizing as much as I can for I have nothing to hide and am innocent of these false charges!!!
I cant believe I have to waste MY time in all of this, but will do so and spend BIG money to do this!!! Just to prove them wrong and to push for changes in laws on what they can or cant do to customers.
