The local store won't honor the $1.99 rate for those past your two free in-store exchanges per month. Copied from the e-mail below is the terms of the new service. I have contacted total access and the store. Each says they are not responsible for making the other fulfill this offer. Total access says, have the store call them, the store refuses to call them and the store manager Brandon Minix has failed to return my numerous messages requesting a call back.

Blockbuster, Step up to the plate and take responsibility.

With the new total access account policy you are supposed to receive:
In addition, exclusively for BLOCKBUSTER Total Access
customers, we have introduced in-store movie rentals for $1.99*
per movie should you need more than the in-store exchanges
included in your plan.
Here is the limitation:
*Monthly fees for your blockbuster.com subscription are subject to applicable tax. In-store rentals are subject to regular rental terms and conditions including applicable tax, due dates and charges which may apply to product kept beyond the due date. A separate, complimentary, in-store membership is required. In-store rentals must be returned to the store where rented. See your local participating BLOCKBUSTER store for complete rental terms. FREE in-store rentals do not count toward BLOCKBUSTER Rewards(R) benefits.

RESOLVED - Local Store Manager Comes Through

#4Author of original report

Sat, December 22, 2007

Thankfully the local store manager was able to coordinate efforts to get the appropriate steps to allow the store to charge the agreed price. I am grateful he takes a more serious view of the importance of customer service and fulfilling an agreement than the copout corporate customer service.

Dear Greg,

Thank you for giving us the store information in which you were unable to redeem your mailers for the $1.99 discount. The store is a franchise and has the option not to accept the mailer discount from its customers. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Greg.
