Complaint Review: Blue Haven Pools

********BUYER BEWARE**********A close friend bought a pool from Blue Haven Pools. She called to ccancel the order within the 3 days. The salesman returned and immediatly cut $3000.00 off the price for some "advertising discount". (What a rip. If you have to buy from Blue Haven, cancel the order and you'll get the same "deal".) She agreed to the new price and later tried to contact the salesman.

She was told that he had to go out of town on a family emergancy, when in fact the company terminated him. The salesmanager, Bill Unger came to her house and continued to decieve this poor woman. After finding out about the lies, and not wanting to deal with this type of ripoff company, she called to cancel again. They immediatly deposited her down payment check and sent her an invoice for over $8,000.00. They sited "engineering fees" when the pool shape was traced off of a piece of their cardboard, "plans and permit fees" even though there not needed where she lives, "restocking charges" for stuff that was never delivered, "commissions" when the guy no longer works there and "admin. fees" (guess they gotta pay off the girls that do their lying for them), They made numerous statements in the letter that were all lies and threatened to sue her if she didn't caugh up the money.

++++BUYER BEWARE++++. They inflate the price of everything and then give you huge discounts to sign NOW. They have numerious lawsuits against them and the BBB report is shamful.
