Blue Haven Pools Ripoff, poor workmanship and failure to complete job to code and get final inspection even though completely paid. West Palm Beach Florida
The pool project was started by Blue Haven in November 1999 and as of today the plumbing has not passed final inspection. It would seem that Blue Haven decided to abandon the job even though the home office in California had committed to me that everything would be taken care of and completed. The deck has fifteen noticeable cracks including one that looks like one side of the deck is falling away from the rest of the deck. There are cracked and chipped tiles, a loose drain which was put on with screws which would rust away not with stainless steel screws which would last ...
There are too many problems and issues to elaborate on in this report. A continuing online diary documenting all of this mess is on the internet at:

Blue Haven has known about this online diary since I first put it on the web and has acknowledged that it existed only on one occasion long ago.

The Real Truth

The real truth is I am a consumer that does not sit quietly by when a contractor does a lousy job.
The real truth is I am not the only one in West Palm Beach or elsewhere in the country who has had problems with this pool builder.
The real truth is that no sooner than the screen enclosure had been installed the deck was starting to crack.
The real truth is that the pool has been usable but legally it is an unfinished construction site which has legal ramifications in it's use.
The real truth is that in this case the contractor did not finish the job to the satisfaction of the building inspectors and the job has no final inspection approval.
The real truth is that since the pool does not have final inspections it would keep me from selling my home if I were transferred.
The real truth is that the building inspector has filed a formal complaint against Blue Haven with the Florida Department of Professional Regulation about these problems.
The real truth is that this can be verified by calling the City of West Palm Beach Department of Construction Services at 1(561)659-8096 X8225 and speak to building inspector Bob Compton.
The real truth is that if Blue Haven was that good I would have had final inspections several years ago and this Rip-Off report would not exist.

larry,
Larry has complained about EVERYTHING including his wife and children. His pool is beautiful and he has been swimming from the time he posted this. It is a shame that he cannot enjoy life but has to sit on his computer and lie. Blue Haven Pools has built over 300,000 pools since 1954 and is still in business.WE have numerous referrals in the south Florida area.
