My story starts off pretty well. I had very few problems till after the pool was completed. I had my pool put in, in june of 2001 and have already had the pump go out, which was replaced by BHP. I also told them about the Pressure guages that have already rusted and/or were broken. I was told, "No problem". The pump was replaced but still no guages. I ended up replacing them myself. Like someone said in another rebuttal..." you have to replace the tires, wipers in two years" you bought junk because your tires should last at least 4 - 5 yrs as well as your wipers. Well guess what, Blue haven puts in junk and that is why you have to replace so much crap on your pool and do so much maintenance.

Next, while at a pool store getting some chlorine, the salesman, told me how many tablets I should put in my "chlorine dispenser". What dispenser? I have been putting them in my pool basket. (basket in pool). He said that was very bad for my motor and heating unit, since chlorine EATS COPPER. That's why your motor went out so early (7 mths old). "Your heater is probably out of warranty, since you were placing the chlorine straight into it. All pools that are the size you have, come with the dispenser STANDARD". I even called BHP, and talked to their construction office and was told, "You do have a dispenser and it comes standard". They even sent out a foreman who told me right off that I was missing the dispenser and they would have one put in in the next two days. BS!!! When I called back to see why they did not come out, I was told by the same person that I should of had one installed, that I will have to pay to have one put in. So I called their Webster office and described the size of pool I wanted (40' by 20' by 8.5' deep, with spa). I was told the Ionization purifier was an upgrade, but since I was getting such a large pool, The dispenser is STANDARD. (281-332-5255). I also called their North office (had my wife call) and was told the very same thing. Just to find out more.....I even called the San Diego office (619-283-6567) and was told the very same thing....THE DISPENSER COMES STANDARD FOR THIS SIZE OF POOL. I even called the Corperate offices, Customer servive Dept. (1-800-543-3883 and 1-800-522-5723) and got a recording. No one has bothered to call me back and all I get is the run-around.

Now what Blue Haven.

I currently work at Blue Haven and do so out of disgust but will be able to cuase more grief for them if I stay on the inside.

All sales people are given a price list that has a lot of upcharge in it. Most salespeople actually make up their own price list and add from 2 to 5 thousand dollars additional "pack" as they get 1/2 as commission.

There is no standard items like a chlorine feeder but if you pay the outragious price they ask they will tell you that it is.

They charge $200.00 for this tiem that costs them $18.60. They could care less once they get your first check and dig the pool.....what else can you do?

They're thieves and I'm gonna try and bring them down. Numerous lawsuits exist and the BBB takes "gifts" that should be outlawed.
