I am a single mom with three kids and when I heard I was making $450 fixed salary I was thrilled, unfortunately for me it did not happen that way.
First they are three paychecks behind so you never know what week or how many sales that way you are getting paid for; secondly when I asked about my contract they claimed that I never signed one. So I was go to get commission only, which if that was the case I would not have taken the job in the first place.
I worked six days a week 10-12 hours a day and when I asked about my paychecks they were in Vegas and kept claiming they would send it to me. Then we I first received one they said it was for two paychecks in one.
The Ramsey Group would give me a paycheck that was not even close to what I was suppose to be making. They had also told me that one check was in the mail that I never received.
They also said that one of my ex co-workers who I am still close friends with did illegal activity and after finding out that one of their top producers was quitting devised a scam to put him in jail.
They do not do what they say and even worse try to ruin your good name all in the name of money. So if you want to work door to door for almost nothing then this job is for you. If you want a real job do not apply here.

Hey Davey.  Slander is ORAL.  LIBEL is written.  Why doesn't such a smart guy like you know that????  And TRUTH is an absolute defense against any slander or libel case a company would care to undertake.

Don't blame a company because you couldn't handle selling.  You should flip burgers IMHO.  Flip is a  good word for someone like you.  Failure also.  Carry on.

Well I've had contact with Blue Lion and find them to be perfectly honest and sincere. My guess is the whiners here have never sold and some are alias's of the same bitter, loser. They contacted me, and it wasn't a perfect fit at this time. But they, especially Jenna, were extremely honest and provided me the information I personally needed for my personal situation. Kudos to Blue Lion and you losers get off your butts and work like the reference above. Or sit on your arses and continue to be losers. Respectfully Submitted, Davy S, Goose Creek, SC. Get a job!

Thanks for all the information. I just received an invitation to contact them for an interview, but now I think I will pass. Too much drama going on here.  If it is true, then you have done a great service for potential employees. If it is false, you have done some serious damage and should be prosecuted for it.

I decided to come back to ripoff report to see what people were saying about the former company I worked for. Now let's be clear on something, I didn't quit the company because I never got paid. I always got paid my full amount depending on how many sales I got every week. One user above said that door to door sales is a bs job. Well it obviously isn't the job for you!! not my fault or anyone elses you can't cut it. Now the only reason I left was to go to a company that could provide me with medical and vision. I make a little bit more with this company but that's not the issue here. The issue is the tarnishing of the good name of Blue Lion Marketing/Ramsey Group. First off, David Ethridge gave me my start, I enjoy going door to door. I don't like sweating but it's life. The only part that bothered me was them watching me like a hawk but other than that it's cool. Now I had a leader who used to sleep in his car however from what I've heard he no longer works for the company. But from Dave,Brandon,Becky,Dom that's a tight crew right there and they handle their business. Haters are always going to hate but it's usually those haters who are working min. wage jobs and will continue to do so until the end of time....employees of the Ramsey Group should know who this is posting this... but everyone else can refer to me as Mr. Otis

If this was a subsidiary of Cydor ( like it sounds) the original poster is telling the truth. I'm married and had a decent job working for the city but I wanted to branch out and make more money so I put my resume online and a company that worked under Cydcor contacted me. Same shenanigans, its GUARANTEED 450 a week.  I was told the hours were M-F, 9-5. Heck yeah, I quit my job and hopped on the wagon.

Little did I know the hours were 8 to whenever you finished at the office. You got in at 8 for the morning team meeting where slogans were thrown around, and recognitions were made, then you drove to wherever you were selling stuff that day ( in some cases an hour away) then you were to be back in the office by 5 to hand in your forms. God forbid you handed them in and left, that was NOT allowed and you were looked down as not being a "team player"

I got so mad at this company... I can remember spending hours on rebutting anyone who stood up for them, im sure you can look up Cydcor on this site and find so much crap but I wont bore you.

I'll just leave you with this, we worked on average 55-65 hours a week, and since I didnt lie, sometimes my commison didnt bypass my pay... that turned out to be WAY less than the 450 I was promised... and shes right about them not letting you know why you got paid what... I would keep track of mine, and i was always told " oh, they canceled..." BS....

I would much rather flip burgers at Wendys then have a door to door sales bullsh*t, dime a dozen (there are thousand of these type jobs listed on careerbuilder, craigslist, etc) job where I had unpredictable but long hours, crap pay and spent my day in all elements of weather, knocking on doors and bothering people to buy something they don't want.  At least at Wendys, the author would know her schedule, her pay and when to expect a paycheck and could plan and budget according.

I feel like I can answer that question for you because I did my research before I started and found this site. And even asked Mr Ethridge about the accusations, so for the simple man YES! the girl above did get payed they even showed me payroll stubs that they cut her checks and like the gentleman above I have always gottern payed my full amount. The Pay scale is a salary position as long as the minimal work is completed which seems fair. Just like a accountant has to do payroll and other things everyweek to earn his salary, It is a sales job and you are required to make sales. The minimum is four per week (which i have 3 times already done in one day) to earn your salary. It doesnt matter if those sales bring in a profit of 78 dollars total for all four sales you still get your full salary of 450 dollars and everything after four is commisions. I myself and the two other people I started with have been averaging about 9 per week and I have been here about a month now. Hope this helps, glad I took the time to ask because when me and my trainer were in the field the other day we stopped at wendys for lunch and saw the lady in the above post flipping burgers LOL. I will ad though its not the easiest job I have ever done but the money is definatly worth it, well to me anyways my smallest weekly check with commissions has been 750 dollars and at my old job I never made that in two weeks.

You say in your first face to face interview with potential

new hirers, you are on a salary of $20,000.00 per year... Is that fact or fiction? Give me the

break down on how you pay... Is the 20,000 a draw against earnings or a

guaranteed salary??? Try to stick with a yes or no answer please!

Ms Stahl, the majority of pages like this consist of people who look for a place to vent their frustration for the postions that their own actions have placed them in. Which is why the majority of companies refuse to even acknowledge such distasteful banter. But however, since out of spite you have chosen to mention me by name I feel a personal obligation to atleast address some of the issues you have brought up. First of all the "good friend" you mentioned was certainly a employee of mine and actually somoene I considered a friend as well. One to which I actually housed and fed and provided transportation for 2 months while he got his feet under him coming off of a dui and coming to me without a penny to his name and a box of clothes being his only worldy possetions. This same person you have mentioned also spread rumors to my employees that my company  had lost its contract with att and they should not longer stay employeed here and should in turn go with him for a business opportunity that he was attempting to start similar to mine. Of course all of the things in which he was saying were completly rediculous as recognized by majority of employees. However their were a few that departed off on the venture and actually Ms Stahl I do believe you were one of the people who tried to make the transition so im not sure if you or he are exactly a adequate moral compass for the majority of people to follow. The second issue I will address is the pay issues you mentioned I personally have had atleast two conversations during your employment about the pay, how it was done, and the way you would be compensated of production requirements assosciated with the position were not met which you fully assured me you understood on both occassions. As far as your ten to twelve hour days 6 days a week you spoke of...to give you an idea how a production based compensation works your hours are a direct determinate of how long it takes you to get the task done. There are several people for whom you are well aware that accomplish the same load in literally half the time. If you worked those hours and still were unsuccessful in this business model then it is apparent that the position wasnt for you. And in some cases Ms Stahl that does seem to be the case, this job isnt meant for everybody but we  attempt to give anybody with a strong work ethic and a desire to better themselves a opportunity to do so, a opportunity that because of a limited education, social status or even financial means would not ever have the chance to do because there parents couldnt afford to send them to college or because they may not have reliable transportation or even have family responisbilities that make them a less desirable candidate to many other employeers. We understand the risk and headache that can come from such hiring decisions but we believe anybody who has that desire to better themselves should not be limited just because they dont fit into the typical mold of a fortune 100 company employee. And for the ones that succeed it makes it worth the wild to see there dreams come true, but not everybody is trainable and unfortunatly a lot of people these days look for a short cut or feel as though they should have everything handed to them without putting in the work. And Ms Stahl though it is a opportunity to some, the system we adhere to is designed to weed out the candidates who put in the minimum effort or refuse to adapt the work ethic necessary to be successful in the modern day business world. And Ms Stahl finally you have never attempted to contact me or come see me since your last day of employment and were compensated directly coorelating to you production im sorry this wasnt to your likeing but it is a business with compensation standards and you are payed based on those standards. You are well aware as to the location of my office, as well as my office and personal phone numbers if you wished to discuss anything. And while I refuse to stoop to the level of attacking your character, upon forther inspection you may notice a correlation to several of the things I have spoke on and your success or lack there of in this business model. Despite the childish actions you decided to employ against me and my company I still wish you the best of luck with your future employment and career and hope that you one day utilize all the potential and drive I saw when I first interviewed you.

Sinceraly, David Ethridge

Well I am actually surprised you posted a rebuttal, at the same time I am not saying I believe them or you, however I am actually giving you the chance to speak your mind to me personally.  I am not sure how we could work that out.

I agree in giving everyone a fair shake and your no different.  There is some things that go on that I do not like, but that's neither here nor there.  So if you want to take me up on my offer and figure out a way we can discuss this where the entire www doesn't see it that's cool.  If not, that's cool as well...

I do not know who you think you are, but if you think you know me your wrong. First, I never said or promised anyone $99.00 so my conscious is clear. I am like you a hard honest worker who put everything I had into my job.

Second, I am currently working another job and do not get medical benefits, not like it is any of your business.

Thirdly, I came to work and acted professionally everyday.

Finally, I have approached them in person and and called Mr. Lewis on several occasions with no resolve.

Now that I got that off my chest, I am happy that you got paid correctly but me and several other people have not. It also does give them the right to accuse others of illegal activity either; or commit illegal activity.

my two cents...

To the girl in Goose Creek, SC.  I am writing this because I feel it's needed to be said. Now when you personally lie to customers about the price being $99 a month forever a price we don't ever offer then there lies a problem within you. Second when you come to work dressed like your picking up a date instead of being professional and dressing like a professional woman should. For all your kids you have, I am sure you are on food stamps and medical cards for all three of them. What type of work are you doing now? If none, I want to be the first to say since I am a hard worker in this country and I pay taxes and my taxes pay for your food stamps and medical benefits then I am claiming all three of your children on my tax return next year and while I am at it, I will claim you as well. Now that I have that off my chest I think I need to continue on my original subject, if you have this much hatred for the company go in there like an adult and speak with them about it? Why call them out on this website? I have never been shorted on my paycheck, if you work and do the right thing you will get paid.
