Like others, we saw the TV ad for a nice looking above ground pool costing $349 installed. We phoned & a rep was sent out to look at our property and figure on the set-up. My wife gave out some of our personal info on the first phone call. The sales person showed up, looked over the property & began her pitch. Her name is Christine Elliott & she works the Midwest.

We told her we were interested in the Econoline model for $349. Right away she told us there was a delivery fee of $369. She also said this model was a "temporary" pool and probably would only last one or two years. She then started trying to sell us the higher priced models.

Since we are on a fixed income we told her there was no way we could pay $16,000 for a pool. She then told us if we would let people come look at our pool, they would knock off $2,000. I asked what the total pay-off price was and what the interest rate was. She got on the phone to a supervisor in Atlanta and he told me the interest was 21% and the payoff for a 3 year loan would be around $26,000.

I told my wife & the sales person that I was totally against buying this pool & putting up my property as collateral for the financing.

My wife went against my advice & signed the contract after the guy in Atlanta lowered the price to $8,000. Payments to be $212 for 36 months. None of this was spelled out in the contract, only figures on a scratch pad. We were told that we had 3 days to cancel the contract if we wanted to.

My wife called Atlanta the next day to cancel the contract & was told the person she needed to talk to was out of the office. This was on a Friday. She called again Monday & was put off again. A Mr. Allen Shenker finally called back on Wed. & told us we were past the 3 days and couldn't cancel. After some discussion, he said we could cancel but it would cost us $4,000.

On Mon. 6-18-07 I called the FTC, the Attorney General of Nevada, the Attorney General of Missouri & the Attorney General of Georgia & filed consumer complaints. I also called the finance company that Blue World uses & told them I wasn't going to accept shipment of the pool & I wasn't going to pay for it.

Then, I called Mr. Allen Shenker & told him I wasn't taking shipment on the pool & wasn't going to pay for it. When he started shouting, I hung up on him. He called right back, but I let the answering machine talk to him.

If there are any lawyers suing Blue World Pools or a class action going on against them, I would gladly join in.

THINK ABOUT IT!!!!! WHY WOULD ANYONE THAT IS SO PLEASED AND HAPPY WITH THEIR POOL BE LOOKING ON RIPOFFREPORT.COM. I WOULD BE IN MY POOL, NOT INSIDE LOOKING UP COMPLAINTS. WE MUST HAVE THEM WORRIED OR THEY WOULD NOT TAKE THE TIME TO READ THESE COMPLAINTS.

WE MUST BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT!!!!!!

That the people that are defending Blue World sound alike? Grand, Gala, Wonderful. Nobody talks like that. I agree. These posts are shills of Blue World. Some of them even misspelled words on purpose just to seem like real people. I'm not buying it. I will be installing a pool soon, and I know who I'm not going to call.

getting a blue world pool installed was my son's idea. basically he saw his friend's parents getting a blue world swimming pool installed and that is when he requested us to get one installed at the back yard of our house too. initially my husband and me were a little reluctant, as we thought that it might cost us alot. but then we did manage to call up one of one of the blue world pool dealers who helped us in getting accurate information about the pool and the cost and the all the other minute details.

once we understood these details we went in to get the pool installed and since then we have been having a grand time swimming in our own personalized swimming pool. infact the best thing is that now we can arrange for small poolside gatherings and this is great fun.......so i would suggest that simply go in for blue world pool and enjoy the good effects of the pool.........

life rocks with blue world pool

I got my blue world pool a month back. the experience was thoroughly porfessional. I gave a call to the blue world pool dealer and immediately a representative was sent to my place to fix in the pool. the pool fixing session was apparently a hassle free session. it just didnot bother me or my family memebers. once the pool was fixed i have been having a gala time and at the sametime my family also seems to be having a nice time.

blue world pool has helped to give me a nice time as i never found time to swim and relax after office. after coming back from office i felt too lazy to go to the near by swimming pool. but now with blue world at the backyard of my house, i find ample time to indulge in swimming and then relaxing.

blue world pool has actually done miracles as now i indulge in water exercises and have a good reason to be fit and fine.

#13UPDATE EX-employee responds

Mon, July 30, 2007

I guarantee the reponse about the family purchasing a pool and it being a pleasant experience has been fabricated by someone working at their home office in Atlanta Ga.!! I should know, along with many ex-employees who were never paid their comissions they earned. I can not tell you all the phone calls we have received from frantic people we sold pools to!! I want consumers to know the salespeople were scammed also... We found out from one of their inside closers they don't expect a sales rep to last more than 30 days...We spent our own money on running leads all over the place..We all would receive a $500.00 check every 2 weeks.....

Listen....to all consumers who have been ripped off...Don't let them bully you!
It is a scam...Their all about threats...Don't let them scare you...

The people working for Blue World Pools, may be sitting back and laughing.. and I say they better enjoy the rest of this pool season...Because I Guarantee before they start scamming consumers and salespeople next pool season.. This country will be well informed....So...Blue World Pool.. enjoy your last cruise this winter on the money of innocent victims... We all hope you drown!!

the wonders of blue world pool

#13Consumer Comment

Fri, July 27, 2007

I got a blue world swimming pool after one of my friends ordered one for her family. it actually did wonders. Her kids enjoyed the whole thing and had a blast in the swimming pool. It seemed like blue world pool helped them to create a world of their own. Seeing this I also decided to get a blue world pool for my family.

My husband loved the whole idea and we immediately contacted them. The service they delivered was incredible and the price of the pool was also competetive. My kids are having an amazing time since we got them the pool and my husband seems to be living for it. Come weekend and he makes sure that a family and friends gathering is planned out by the poolside.

blue world pool has actually done wonders for us and I am sure that anyone who got the pool must be having a wonderful time.

Surprise --- Surprise ! Yesterday in the mail, I got a full refund of our deposit --- $200. I guess it did some good to contact the Attorneys General in several states, plus the FTC with complaints against Blue World Pools. There was no letter of explanation, just REFUND typed on the check. If you feel you have been scammed or ripped off, don't hesitate to contact every official you can think of. BWP did threaten to put a lien on our property, etc. Guess they figured it just wasn't worth it.
