Complaint Review: Blue World Pools

First,off I wanted to say I was horrified by reading tons of stories on this company and was not all happy with what I read.However,we let them install our pool and the installer WAS LICENSED BY VA TO INSTALL,I SEEN HIS LICENSE..Anyways,they were very professional and put my pool up,the pool was very nice and I have not had one bit of trouble with it...I still dont like how they did pull the bait and switch game on me with upgrading me to the classic when I ordered the mid-line,they tacked like 5,000 more on to the pool and that still has me upset.I still think they should take t he 5,000 off but that is another story in itself..

Since,then the ionizer runs great,the liner does not leak and like I said I have not had any problems as of yet,however Kevin Fisher did throw in some extras for me since my concern was soooooo great about reading the stories and he stood by his word...I am really impressed how,when I did call in to report my pump was acting funny,they walked me thru it and helped me,they were not mean in anyway to me at all,they even had the installer call me again to make sure my needs were met...THere was nothing wrong with the pump I just didnt know how to read the pressure gauge..Yes,I was wrong this company has said everything they said they would,except give me the one pool I originally ordered,and I still dont like paying more money for another pool from them,but overall is was a good experince.

DO NOT BELEIVE EVERYTHING U READ BAD ABOUT THIS COMPANY,THEY STOOD BY ME,INSTALLED MY POOL WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD,GAVE ME EXTRAS LIKE SOLAR COVER,WINTER COVER,AN EXTRA IONIZER,A FOUNTAIN AND A LIGHT TO PUT IN MY POOL..SO OVER ALL BLUE WORLD POOLS IS NOT A BAD COMPANY AT ALL,SO DONT BELIEVE ALOT OF THESE HORROR STORIES YOU READ ON HERE,THEY ARE WRONG...

I replied to someone above mostly as follows, hopefully this will help. It's work on your part, but so worth it.

First of all, pay the fee and put a stop payment on that check!

Then: I don't know the rules of your state, so look them up, but *if* it's legal there, get yourself a little recorder at Radio Schack and start recording *every* conversation you have with them from now on! (get plenty of extra mini tapes!)

Write a detailed letter to the FTC, BBB , attorney general and fax it to them along with any paperwork they asked to fill out. At least in my state, they want to hear your side of the story in "your words". Get a hold of every every trouble shooter TV station and radio station in both your and their state their state (by that I mean NV and GA), All their business is done from an office there, the address in NV is nothing but a PO Box... Address all correspondence to them to BOTH addresses.

They are well known for their shenanigans by the GA atty gen. so get on it ASAP. Send EVERYTHING certified or by FEdex or UPS with SIGNATURE REQUIRED and make sure you can track it! It's worth the $$ you'll pay to do this.

By now, I'm sure you have been theatened with them putting a lien on your property or if not, get ready for it. Don't worry too much. Just make a huge fuss and make sure everyone from the mayor to the governor know about this and make sure your voice is real loud and clear that this is abusive and unannaceptable. Take the time to read thru this website all the way. That's what I did and I managed to get out frazzled but with my property intact. Not so much my health (I have an incurable illness which does not respond well to stress, but thats another story).

Now you're worried about them installing the pool although you don't want it and although they are unlicensed to do so in your state. So, this is important:

Write them a certified letter (copy it to the atty gen. and your local sherriff) stating that they are NOT authorized to put ONE GRAIN OF SAND on your land or this will be construed as criminal tresspassing and you will authorize the sherriff to place any individual doing so under arrest. Go to the sherriff's office and hand it to the sherriff to have on file and to have ready (as your authorization) at a moment's notice.

Hi,everyone I finally called today and talked with Miles,oh lord did I open the gate to hek.....I knew he was going to tell me he isnt authorized to cancel this pool,like so many others do,so now I am just waiting to get a nasty phone call from someone probably threatning me to take it or they will file a lien on my home.........We were schedule for installation soon but I have no intentions on letting them install this pool whatsoever since all of the bad things I have seen and heard about this company.

I have not signed any final contract about financing so I am hoping that I am not too burned,the only contract I signed was the one when the salesman was out here saying I would buy,so anyone have any idea on the next step?.......I have filed with the BBB,the Attorney Generals Office in GA........Now,whats next?.......How do I get my 200.00 deposit back?........I am going to have my husband write up 2 letters of cancelation and have them sent certified letting them know we dont want their junk...........

Is there anything else I need to be done?.......Bobby,I found out they dont have to be licensed in VA in order to install pools here,they use Va contractors here and get them to install them,that is about as smart as they get,lol..........but anyone else who lives in Va,please join me in fighting this company,we cant keep letting these SCUMBAGS RIP US OFF ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!

They may threaten to file a lien, but if they try to without ever starting the construction of the pool, they are commiting a criminal offense of " neglegently clouding a title". You can also advise them that if they continue harassing you, that you will call the Virginia Construction Board and tell them of how Blue World Pools is selling and installing pools over $5000 without a Virginia Contractors License, The Virginai Attorney Generals Office and the Federal Trade Commission. They may even say that they have a license, well tell them to send you a copy... they wont. Also tell Kathleen Payne that you want your $200 back or you will call the San Diego Padres Organization (her son Danny Payne plays baseball there) and tell them about the scams and threats.

Hi,bobby thanks for your response.We just found out about this company by going on here and I was about sick to my stomach after reading this.....We gave them a 200.00 deposit and couldnt cancel within 3 days due to them not contacting us till like 4 days later to let us know we were approved for finacing(sure this was planned to avoid letting us cancel).But my question is,they have not installed this pool yet,so how do I keep them from installing it and get out of this contract..any help would be appreciated....I have filed a complaint with the BBB and then the attorney general in Atlanta and they sent me paperwork to fill out,now what else can I do?

I mean,I feel like I am stuck in this nightmare,and since they are not licensed in Va,you saying the contractors they hire cannot legally put this pool in?....I am afraid to let them install it and then get a junk pool that will cost me more money in the long run........I am hoping someone can help me,and is it true they cannot put a lien on your home unless they take you to court in your state?......Alot of people have told me this,and that they wont do it since it would cost them money coming here to va to do so.........Thanks for all your help

Call your Virginia Contruction Contractors Board. Any company constructing, including above ground swimming pools, need 1 of 2 licenses. Regular License with no test for pools under $5000 and a Special license that includes passing a construction board test for swimming pools exceeding $5000. They do not have EITHER of these licenses. The are operating illegally in the sate of Virginia for over 20 years... and no one has complained.... YOU CAN FORCE THE CONTRACT and get your moeny back or make them drop the price bellow $5000....
