We saw a TV ad for above ground pool for $349.00. I contacted Blue World Pools. They sent out Tom Assa at 8:30 pm. He played the bait and switch game. The $349.00 pool was not going to last maybe a 1yr.

Tom said we need the midline pool it had a life time warenty and it was only $16,000.00. I told him I would never pay that much for a above gound pool.
He called Matt and my husband talked to him. Matt lowered the price of the pool if we would show it 3 times in a year. Now the price was $14,000.00 and they wanted a $2,000.00 deposit. WE SAID NO. Then the price came down to $9,830.00 with a $1,500.00 deposit and we had to show it 6 times by now it was 11:00 pm. If we changed our mind we could canceal.Tom faxed the paper work from oue house.

The next day I called to canceal. Kathleen Payne said the pool would now cast $12,761.00 for 120 months at 25% interest.I said no I wanted to canceal the pool. She said if I did she would put a lean on oue house and
I would pay for the pool. She hung up on me when I told her no I wouldn't.

Then Allen Shanker called he lowered the pool again now it was $8,442.00 with $1,500.00 down. He faxed a new contract. Ionly agreed to pay the $8,442.00 Idid not initial to pay for the pool if I cancaeled.

Then I called to see when they were going to set up my pool and Kathleen said the pool would noew cast $12,761.00. I said NO I WANT TO CANCEAL AGIN . I would not pay that much for a pool.

This went on and on for weeks The installer called to install the pool he said we had to sign a POWER OF ATTORNY. I told him no I would not sign any paper work and I cancealed the pool for the 5th or 6th time and if he came to my house I would call the police.

I sent letters to the Attorney General Office in Navada, Ga., and Fl. because Kathleen was in Ga. I sent a letter to Allen Shanker, Kathleen Payne, and Mike Warrenthe owner. To let everyone know I did not want a Blue World Pool and about all the harassment, intimidating, and the threatening of takein my home that I have had to deal with and still am. This all started June 11, 2007.

I did find out Blue World Pools don't have a office in Nevada. There is only a pick up box there. They are in Georgia.

Everyone who has been scamed by Blue World Pools needs to wright a letter to

Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs
2 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive
Plaze Level- East Tower
Atlanta, Georgia 30334

or call (404)656-3790

If we all stick together we can get someting done.

Their threat to put a lien on your property is usually just a threat. In MOST STATES they would have to go to court and file papers, etc. to take this action. I am still hopeful that someone will get a class action lawsuit started against this scam artist company. I sure would join in any such lawsuit.

I replied to another poster. I could not help but come back here because someone else I know (in my area) asked me about getting a BWP and I almost had a stroke! Then I come to this site and I see a bunch more stories like yours and the U.S.Marine...

Kathleen is no stranger to me. She will get real ugly and real fast. They are not working in your best interests. Soon you will 'get on her nerves'. As she said to my husband 'I have wasted too much time on you'. She abused us to no end. She (they) tried intimidation practices and even the outright threat to put a lien on our home if we did not buy the pool that they were forcing on us (UNAUTHORIZED BY US, neither verbally nor in writing).

In our case, it was a matter of them trying to sell (force on us) us a pool for many thousands more than what we agreed to. This was done with deceptive practices and verbal intimidation that included shrieking and screaming matches by 'Kathleen'. There is much more to our story.. but ours is resolved now.

Do this now . I don't know the rules in your state as far as taping your phone conversations, go to this website: http://rcfp.org/taping/ to find out. It is a state by state guide that shows the laws on taping phone conversations. ( I can in mine) and I DID. YOu can get a recorder at Radio Shack for less than $20.

Contact your Attorney General, Contact every single network's (in your area) troubleshooter reporter (by phone and in writing). Chances are, they are already familair with this company, I am certain that the Atty Gen. will also be familiar with them. I believe that Fox News in Atlanta (sorry I do not have the link) did a two- day story on them, you can probably find it on the internet. Contact the Better Business bureau (in both Nevada and georgia) and the FTC. I read that some had also contacted Dateline and Inside Edition (hey, I didn;t think of that. Good idea, go for it.)

Now. most important of all: If at all possible CONSULT AN ATTORNEY: Here is what mine told me to do on her instructions. Write a certified letter to the president Michael Warren and the secretary Sean Warren and even Kathleen and word it to say that you forbid them to lay even one brick or one grain of sand on your property and you demand your money back immediately. They have not kept up with what they promised. Also make sure you register this with your clerk of court and your sherriff's office. If they do set foot on your property, this will be considered felony trespassing. Do this immediately. Get to the post office and get the letters out NOW.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Address your letters to the Blue world offices in both Nevada and GEORGIA. GEORGIA is where the 'meat' of there business is conducted and is where 'Kathleen' is located. Make sure the letters are certified or UPS or FedEX. Do the same with the Better Business Bureaus.

Be ready to be badmouthed and called a remorseful consumer and all kinds of things. It's okay. The bullet you might dodge will all be worth it. And remember you can always sue for defamation if it comes to it and you feel they are really assasinating your character.

I did dodge the Blue world pools 'bullet' they did cancel the contract as null and void after all noise I made (but not without trashtalking myself and my husband as I said above.) They did confirm that to the BBB, Atty Gen and FTC (I think) it's up to you if you choose to shut up and leave it at that or go after them for the lies they pile on, all of which they cowardly did in writing to the BBB, certainly not in the apologetic message to us which was recorded of course).

Finally, be sure to read EVERY report on this site.. It is rather enlightening.
