Complaint Review: Bluebird American Express

Purchased this card last night at Walmart, and was unable to register/activate it on the website. I received a cryptic email response of "unable to verify". Called the customer service number and was told "we're getting that a lot, no one knows what it means" before I was transferred to another number.

Sat on hold for 2 1/2 hours to talk to another unhelpful representative who demanded I give him my bank account information to activate the card. He refused to escalate my call and could not answer any question as to why he was demanding bank info when all the packaging and advertising explicitly states no bank account is required.

He then transferred me to yet another number that turned out to be a call center in India where (after another hour on hold) someone who barely even spoke English informed me this was a call center for a totally unrelated card and he could do nothing to help me.

This was a complete waste of money and time, and I have reported to the BBB as well as posting here.
