I was informed that getting a "sampler" with bluegreen will give me an opportunity to try out this "family" time vacation. I have been separtated with my husband who is a plastic surgeon and wanted to take my children to a couple of nice family times with myself. I cannot compete with my ex on where to bring them....I just want to have together time. My 1st vacation was to Gordonsville, VA I stayed in a run down cabin (they claimed it was an upgrade) It was gross, scary and some horses had bloody eyes and legs. One horse was missing an eye. I felt so bad for the animals and spent time doing homework...their is not a thing to do there! Now I would like to go on my last vacation to Williamsburg...I'll just take the kids to busch gardens and have a free place to stay. How can they mess this up??!! No I can only go in May, but there is no room for us in May. I have now paid $800 and 1 bad vacation and one I am unable to take. Bluegreen is calling now 3 times everyday "inviting" me to Williamsburg to buy a real membership. Absolutely not. Do not buy a bluegreen vacation. It is better to save your money and go somewhere that you really want to go. There are so many restrictions that I won't be able to bring my kids anywhere this year....oh well, their father will take them somewhere fun I'm sure. I hope this will help someone... bluegreen resort is a ripoff.

Its to stop stupid idiots like you who are miss informed from calling what is infact a very good points system.
people knock the system when they have no idea how to use it, they sign contracts but do not read them and when it dosen't do what they think it should then they shout scam.

Get real "it does exactly as it says on the tin"

If you read the contact you know exactly what you have bought

and sorry to have to tell you I have 7 weeks holiday each and every year but then again over here in the UK that is the number of holidays we get.

If you can find a Bluegreen office here in the Uk please tell me it will save me money on phone calls to the states

Phillip, if you are not a BG employee and you're so blissfully happy with your membership, why are you spending so much time surfing around a website that reports unethical companies (which Bluegreen is) and typing rebuttals to people's comments? If you're able to take so much vacation time with your fabulous BG contract, then you shouldn't have so much spare time to worry about people who are unhappy with it. I have already seen three posts of yours and I've only been on the site for ten minutes!

Not a Ripp Off

Let just say first I am a very Happy owner and I Am NOT employed by BG.

It is unfortunate that you did not have a good time on your first trip but as you must understand when you came to book your second trip that there are times when you can not use your sampler membership, which you must deep down understand (its the same with any club there are times when fully paid up members have exclusive use of the club) and is only fair.
You only paid $800 for 9000 points andtherfore you can not honestly ecpect the same condition of use as those who have paid a great deal more.
A sampler is and does exactly what it says on the pkt it gives you a taste of what is a good timeshare vacation club.

It is now April and you want to use them next month well let me say that even fully paid up members would find it difficult to get accom at such short notice you should have contacted reservation at least 5 months out, can you not variy your dates ?, have you asked whats else is available for the dates you want?
You only think its a ripp off because it has not given you what you want but I am afried you did not understand what you bought and how it shoud be used.

Phone BG reservations and ask what your options are tell them you have a sampler and have x number of points left and it expires on ....
Remember the resrictions are only because it is a sampler you have a choice of over 20 resorts availabilty is obviously going to be for off peak periods.

Please also remember that you have not paid any maintance fees or club dues
and that timeshare is not a free holiday.
Just because you cant get it to fit into your lifestle does not mean that it is a ripp off
