Bluegreen Resorts Liars and Thieves St Augustine Florida
Out of the many time share companies I have dealt with, this group rates at the bottom of the scum barrell.
Sometime in October of this year, I had my initial contact with one of their representatives. At that time, I was told that I would recieve a 2 night stay in St. Augustine in exchange for a tour of their World Golf Village resort. I agreed and we set a date.
On December 5th, a representative called me to confirm my 12/15 reservation. I advised them that I had not received any information and had no idea where my reservation where or when I would be staying or where to report. I was advised that I would my documentation via email within 72 hours.
No email or documentation came. I assumed that my reservation had not been completed and therefore nothing lost nothing gained.
Just last week, I recieved a $75 charge on my credit card by Bluegreen Resorts, so I called their company to inquire. I was advised by a Debbie that she would look into it and would have to call me back because customer service mgr that she needed to talk to was on a different phone system than hers and she could not transfer the call.
I received a voicemail from Debbie telling them that because I did not call them and tell them that I did not get an email, I was charged with a one night stay at a hotel.
I called 'Debbie' back at the number she left and talked with another young lady, Iesha. She said she could not assist me because Debbie was documenting my account and she did not want to give me information that she did not know. I asked her to give Debbie a message to call me.
Debbie did return my call and reiterated that their policy is that since I did not call them and cancel, I was being charged. I asked how could I cancel a hotel stay that I did not know about. She said that her records indicate that an email was sent and therefore it is my fault.
I have asked for a copy of this mysterious email, however, bluegreen resort is not able to resend it to me or show any type of documentation that it was sent.
If they can not show proof that an email or any other documenation was sent - they are liars - it was not sent.
If they take my money for a service I was not allowed to use, they are theives.
I advised 'Debbie' that I would be filing this report with www.ripoffreport.com and would also dispute the charge with my bank.
I did not have to buy with them to be screwed by them.

You said "On December 5th, a representative called me to confirm my 12/15 reservation." and then you said "I asked how could I cancel a hotel stay that I did not know about."
Nobody would be happy to loose $75. I think it was as much your own fault.
Bluegreen uses the same high-pressure tactics the other time-shares use. "buy right now or loose your chance to get in at such a low price'. I have purchased a bluegreen timeshare after reseaching many others and I am happy with my purchase.

Just remember that you are at fault in not ensureing that when you contacted Bluegreen you did not question why you never had the email before you due date, you assumed that becase you had not had it it was all cancelled.
Well next time do not assume because as the old saying goes
To ASSUME makes an a*s out of U and ME

You are extremely lucky that you did not attend the presentation offered by Bleugreen. You could have made a mistake that you would have regretted for the rest of your life.
Now, what you need to do is to contact your credit card and contest that $ 75.00 payment.
good luck!
