 After purchasing into this timeshare, Yes, Bluegreen Vacations is a timeshare. We realized how much they misrepresented what they were selling. They made it sound like we could go anywhere at any time. We weren’t able to travel to places we really wanted, it was always something we had to settle for because we didn’t have enough “points.” 

This brings us to our next point. Anytime you do travel with them, you are practically forced into an “update meeting.” Which are mandatory, at least that’s how they make you feel. But with each purchase, your maintenance fees go up. This doesn’t make sense because most of our stays were not as well kept as they should have been. For example, the floors were always dirty. My wife packed a mop on every trip because she knew she would most likely have to clean the floor, and no this is not an exaggeration.

7 out of our 10 stays required a maintenance call to make repairs to the room in some manner, We called housekeeping upon check-in to clean (which should be done prior to us getting there!) Sweeping up broken glass, clean the kitchen or bathroom. We even had to ask multiple times to give us towels since we had none. I don’t know about you but this doesn’t sound like it is worth the $8800.00 we spent to have this. We need to move on and Bluegreen won’t let us go.  Don’t do this to yourself.
