Do not trust BlueHost's Affiliate program promises on https://www.bluehost.com/cgi/partner. They promise $65 per referral. But there are many strings attached:
First, it has to be a referral from your website. If you refer someone in person, it doesn't count.
Second, the first referral is not paid until you have 2 referrals - there is $100 minimum before you get paid.
Third, the person you refer to BlueHost does NOT get the best rate. They get a "special" plan, which is not the best deal.
In summary, if you refer a friend or a relative, you'll see nothing until you refer another one. And they will not get the best deal - or, again, you'll see nothing.
They are tricky to say the least. What I described above is included in their Terms & Conditions, or so they told me. But nothing is mentioned on their web page which promotes the Affiliate Program.
So be careful, read the fine print, and don't waste your time on referring people you care about - they will not get the best deal and you'll get nothing!
