BlueRibbon Toys, Blue Ribbon Ventures dishonest, fraudulent, order significantly not as described, would not issue credit, refund Ripoff Miami Florida
Listed company is represented as a wholesaler/liquidator of overstock & closeout toys. We purchased their sample pack after reading the opening page blurb on their website & description page of the toy sample pack - neither page said ANYTHING about books or DVDs.
Books & DVDs ARE NOT toys or novelties; novelties are things such as squirt/slime balls, jacks, marbles, light-up pens, funky pencils, joke tricks, costume accessories, etc.
Website listed contents of toy sample pack at approximately 80 items. This is in line with the piece count we received.
HOWEVER - of the total of 82 items we received, 57 were books/coloring books/dvds (and dvds were cheap knock-offs that belong in a dollar store) - coloring books & many of the books also belonged in a dollar store; as a percentage, this is 69.5% of the order. BOOKS/COLORING BOOKS/DVDS ARE NOT TOYS - THEY ARE BOOKS AND BELONG IN A BOOK STORE.
All statistics professors I've known would say the above figure makes the order SIGNIFICANTLY not as described. All the items were inventoried in a systematic orderly fashion, AND photographed - so we have proof of contents. We are not crazy or delusional, or confused. We understand how this industry works, and bottom line - we were ripped off.
When contacted via email for an RMA/credit - company rep pulls that old 'we're sorry, all sales final, no returns/refunds,' blah, blah, blah. The order was returned signature required, and we are proceeding with a credit request via our card issuer. If this claim is denied then we will pursue legal action.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - Yes, you will get some toys, but NOT all toys as they advertise. We are just glad that we did not place a larger order to begin with.
