BMG music services and National Credit Solution (reporting agency) is bent and determined to destroy people's credit record in this recession period.

I noticed what I thought was an error on my credit report from Experian in March 2009 reported by National Credit Solution for $22 to BMG music services in 2004. There was no phone number, so searched for their phone number online. I called and spoke to a representative. I explained that I never purchased whatever item in question from BMG or received any invoice from them to that effect. The representative stated that the purchase was made in March 2004. She also stated that the purchase was American Pie 3 DVD movie.

This raised my suspicion of identity theft. I requested to know the address on record since I never received letter of intent to collect a debt from them or invoice from BMG music services. I have been in my address since 2003 and don't have American Pie 3 DVD movie in my house. The representative told me that NATIONAL CREDIT SOLUTION sent a letter to address in February 2009 for an attempt to collect the debt. I never received invoice(s) from BMG and/or letter(s) from NATIONAL CREDIT SOLUTION.

After five days of speaking to NSC, I received letter of attempt to collect debt from them dated a day after my call. Why would they write me after my call? This prompted my follow-up call immedately. I spoke to the same person that had told me that a letter was sent in February, this time she told me that NCS is not supposed or obligated by law to notify debtors in my state as it's not required in State of Virginia to notify consumers of debt before reporting to bureau.

I vehemently disputed this record on my credit file and requested that NSC furnish me with BMG itemized statements of billing and/or invoices sent to me with regards to this purchase. I also requested to know information provided at the time of purchase.

What I received from NCS was a "sham" letter signed by compliance department (no name) with the following information:

Last known billing address debtor: my address
Name of Original Credit: BMG Music Service
Original Creditor's address: P.O. Box 91529, Indianapolis, IN 46209
ADItem# 030420092S
AD Description America PIE 3
AD Date 3/16/2004
AD Amount $22.93
AD TDesc: Regular Product
DebtorID: 7P1599030

Since they could not provide me with information provided during the order or invoice copy sent to my address, I am still curious to know how BMG or NCS got my SSN to report this negative information in my report since I never ordered DVD from BMG. It appears there could be consumers rights violation by BMG and their reporting agencies. What are the information required in order report information to the credit bureau? I am hoping that there will be class action law suit slammed on BMG and its cohorts for this scam. BMG or NCS will definitely pay for this their scam some day. My good credit of 735 score is what they want to ruin with $22.93 or $139 as they claim now.

I had same thing happen to me, I had my credit pulled in April they were on there with a BMG charge which I have never had but instead of fighting it I paid in full $200 it was taken off so yes they had access to my info and on June 8th 2010 I looked at my Experian and who is on it? NCS/BMG they changed the account # re-aged it had a start date 1 jan 2010- a report date of May 2010 same time I paid the other one off. I called and talked to them they gave me my old address and at first I was told  it did not say when the account was started he put me on hold for 3 to 4 min.I think he went and pulled my Credit Report then came back and said something about 2003 it was like he was asking in a way (fishing),so they have no definate info-He kept saying someone who stayed with probably ordered it but I stuck to my guns because I never had a BMG account. I asked could they Validate the account he transferred me to a lady she said they don't have that info "But if I pay in full they will delete it from my report" because it was a mail order, well I aint paying so I will be sending a validation letter to them tomorrow, I asked if this account was opened in 2003 and closed in 2005 why have I not got something in the Mail? No answer.  I have not got a single phone call from these people I called them on the first account now I would think if this was valid they would be seeking money without waiting for me to call them. I have filed complaints with Attorney Gen, ACA, FTC, I even sent info to MR. HIBBs they will not get away with this and if ya'll are smart put the HAMMER down on these people. If some of you are depending on the CB's deleting or Validating for you then you will be sad when you get your letter from the CB's, I promise. They work for them not us.

Contact Experian and dispute the information on your report. they will have to investigate, and BMG will have to prove that you owe them the money.
