I was accused of being in an accident on November 6, 2013 by the BMV.

The police officer (Officer Jansen of Schereville PD) has confirmed I was not involved. The accident report does not have my name listed on it anywhere (the guilty party is a Hispanic male who's name isn't even close to mine).

I've spoken to the BMV, both on phone and at local office - where they've pulled up the accident report on their computers and confirmed I wasn't involved.

None of that matters - it seems the BMV is intent on charging me for the accident. The BMV suspended my driving privileges (which Officer Jansen told me to ignore, if I get pulled over have them contact him or the Schererville PD). The BMV is demanding I pay fines ($200) and get a type of insurance that is expensive (close to $150 a month).

I don't know what to do anymore - I've proven I wasn't involved in this accident, had police officers and BMV employees state I wasn't involved and yet the BMV won't leave me be and is making my life difficult by suspending my license.
