I responded to an ad stating the company was buying motorcycles, I talked to the rep who answered the phone, he asked me to send pics of the bike (which I did) and he called me back stating that his buyer said they were buying my bike.  That he had to wait for them to finish crunching numbers and that as soon as they had an offer for me that they would call me back, later that afternoon I get a call back stating that the buyer had left for the day and that he would call me back the next morning and that we could arrange to meet in a central area since we are in different states to do the business exchange.  I agreed.  I receive a phone call back from the same representative the next morning and was told that the buyer was in office but he couldn't speak to him at the moment to get the  numbers.  Then I received an email message from this representative asking for provocative pics of me, and further emails from this pervert telling me what kind of person he was.  I called the company, asked if there were numbers yet so we could finish the sale on the bike.  Wound up with the same perverted rep.  He stated that they are buying the bike, to take it off the market if I had it listed anywhere that it is a done deal.  Still no numbers but I figured its a solid company their good for their word.  I have it in email and voicemail that its a done deal they are buying it.  I turned two people away stating it had been sold already and unlisted it.  I hear nothing the third day, the business closed on Sundays.  Monday comes around and I get more emails and voice mails asking for suggestive pics, then am told they are not buying the bike.  I call to speak with the buyer at this point and file formal complaint against the employee/representative on the lies and sexual comments he had made and his inappropriate requests for suggestive pictures of me.  I am told by the buyer who is also management that he had no knowledge of this bike deal that he had been on vacation.  He then requested for me to send him the copies of emails from his representative proving what I had to deal with for 4 days.  There is no resolve other than a weak apology and basic sux to be you on both issues from his representative.  I am out 6000.00 from turning away a solid buyer after being told via email from their representative that they are buying it and to unlist it.  And I am highly insulted and sickened by the blatant sexual harassment from their representative.  I address management a second time and again am given a weak apology and directed to human resources who treated the situation as if it were nothing.  I will never do any form of trade with BMW of Ft. Worth or any of its sister companies which are all held by America's PowerSports of Allen Texas which includes various Harley Davidson dealerships and various other motorcycle dealerships that are listed on America's PowerSports web page.

An offer?

Did they ever actually make an offer? How much 'number crunching' would it take to make an offer on a motorcycle?

At first I thought the guy sent the first message to the wrong person (giving consideration that does happen) but when they continued, I made it clear that I was insulted.

How come the comments didn't bother you when they were going to buy the bike?  After all even after they made the comments you didn't seem to have any problem in doing business with them, even after you got stuck with the exact same representative.
