I had my vehicle serviced at BMW of Santa Maria. My front lower A" arm bushings replaced. I was billed for 5.2 hours labor. The book time for this repair is 1.3 hours. I have an extended service agreement that should have covered this with a $100 deductible. I was shocked when I was told that I had to pay the additional labor.
Now knowing a little bit about how this works, I checked around. After contacting my extended service provider, I was told they would cover up to 1.8 hours as this was the longest book time found. i

BMW tried to lead me to beleive that my provider was not living up to their obligation. This is not in my opinion the case. BMW simply overcharged me by at minimum 3.4 hours.

All industry standards say this repair should take between 1.3 to 1.8 hours. Either this dealership has incredibly incompetent technicians that take 288% more time than the industry average, or they are intentionally overcharging their customers. You decide.
