Received call from person named Carmen regarding position with work-at-home company--BNA Business Solutions aka Blue Northern Alliance LLC.  After answering questions about my profession, preferred credit card and credit card balance I was then asked to listen to recording about the residual commissions I could receive by contacting merchants and giving them the ability accept debit, credit cards, gift cards, and EBT cards and allowing merchants to save on credit card processing fees.

BNA Business Solutions would also provide state-of-the-art equipment  such as pin pads, basic terminals, POS systems and check readers.  I would receive up to $500 when a merchant purchased equipment.  In addition, I would receive 2% of any cash advances made to merchant.  Credit card processing company would get 1% of mark-up of which I would receive half of the amount collected per referral made by me to BNA Business Solutions.    I was told that BNA Business Solutions was the 5th largest credit card processing company in the U.S.

BNA Business Solutions would provide to me leads, a coach/mentor, set-up a website for me and even assist me in establishing my work-at-home business as a LLC.  Cost to me would be $495 plus $20/month hosting fee (waived for the first 30 days).  When I hesitated I was transferred to a recruiting agent, Robert Johnson.  When I was still hesitant as to the legitimacy of this business Mr. Johnson became upset, claiming I was calling him a liar.  I was then transferred to a third person, Maryann Cammack, who then got "special permission" to reduce the amount I would be expected to contribute to a one-time fee of $199 w/ a 30 day 100% money-back guarantee.

I initially forked over my credit card number but was still concerned over the credibility and legitimacy of the company.  I did more research.  I could not find any mention of BNA Business Solutions or Blue Northern Alliance anywhere other than the company website.  Not listed on a rating site listing the best credit card processing companies.  The Better Business Bureau (BBB) gave the company an 'F' rating but not a lot of detail as to the reasons for the rating.  BNA Business Solutions claimed that they were listed on and well rated by the Online Business Bureau (OBB). I went there, but the OBB had no record on the company under any of its names.

I then called customer service and cancelled my order, refusing to affix my online signature to the documents emailed to me authorizing the $199 charge and $20/month hosting fee (waived for 30 days).  I then got a call from a fourth person (cannot remember his name).  When I stated my concerns he too became very exercised--claiming my "attitude" made me a bad fit for the company.

Basically, this company spends a lot of time repeating the words "MasterCard", "Visa", "commissions", and "financial benefits ie. pay off my home, vacations, etc.".  They are also fond of mentioning how they are Christians--apparently that makes it impossible for them to engage in  fraudulent or dishonest behavior.  When you ask for some means of ascertaining the company's credibility such as the name of the CEO, financial data on the company, length of time the company has been operating, financial websites or financial publications that reference the company they become very irate.
