Complaint Review: BNI Business Networking International

I have been a member of three different BNI chapters in two different states. For those people who say "its just that chapter" you are wrong. We had problems with each chapter. One lost our check, said the lady who had it walked away with it. Showed no concern what so ever and wanted me to give them a new one. We contractor the head quarters and never received a reply.

In the second chapter, a few years later and in another state, one of the leadership asked me to help him commit insurance fraud. I said NO ... he chatized me, told me not to come back and said "thats how business is done" I was kicked out for not wanting to commit a crime, never refunded my money and again. Headquarters never bothered to respond.

In the third chapter my wife was lectured by the president for complaining about a member. Her complaint was that he became abusive toward her over the phone. He was also abusive toward me, yelling and making threats. The Chapter president said "He is new to business ... may be this is not for you" again, no money back and the headquarters ignores us when we tried to seek their help in resolving the situation.

BNI is great for ego maniacs who want to have some power over others, its not good for someone who is trying to grow their business. If you ask around, more than not. Ex-BNI members HATE the group .. no matter what chapter it is.

I will never join another BNI group ... I absolutely HATE them
