I purchased several pieces of furniture from BoConcept. The delivery man did not give me time to inspect the furniture but was very insistent that my husband quickly sign the packing slip. As soon as he left, I began to inspect the furniture and noticed damage on two pieces. As soon as the store opened, I called and reported the damage. They said that someone would call me about it. I did tell them that I did not note it on the packing slip because I did not see it until after they left. I have talked to many people at Bo copncept on the phone because I wanted the damaged pieces replaced. They all give me a different story and I have no confidence that I will ever get what I paid for. The manager of the store, Tim, spoke to me in a way that verged on abusive. I feel as if I have been robbed of the almost $3,600 I spent on furniture. Two pieces are damaged and one is not usable at all.

Shopping @ BoConcept in Georgetown

#2Consumer Comment

After reading Anita's report re; BoConcept @ Georgetown and specifically about the Store Manager (Tim), I must add.

Store Manager (Tim): Jan 2007, Store under-priced the Quattro Sectional on the floor by $400, when made aware of the price discrepancy on the quote vs. the price displayed on the show floor, Tim became very rude, and demanded that the purchase be completed by the end of the day or he won't honor the price. He made us feel like we were thieves and like we were at fault.

At the end we walked away from placing an order which would have amounted to about $10,000 between the two of us. The poor salesgirl tried so hard and we would have gladly given her our business, but we didn't want Tim to benefit in any way.

Tim is a terrible manager; his rudeness and outright nastiness to customers has been echoed by several people I talked to who were previously interested in BoConcept furniture, in addition to the current and former employees of BoConcept in Georgetown and at Tysons.

I would recommend escalating your issue to the corporate offices immediately as you will not get a fair resolution to your issue from Tim.
