DO NOT GO to Boat-N-RV Supercenter in Rockwood, TN for a boat or rv. They are the most dishonest company I have ever done business with. We bought a new 2019 Lexington 317 pontoon boat from Laurie, a salesperson there on June 28, 2018. I live in Knoxville, TN and it is an hour one way to this company. It took 2 trips over there to get the paper work done and pay for the boat. When the boat got to the company from New York, there was several things wrong with it. The people at Boat-N-RV told us that it was all covered under warranty and to take the boat and as soon as they got the parts in they would call us to bring the boat back for the repairs, so we took the boat on July 2, 2018. On July 8, 2018 we took the boat out and when we was loading the boat the game warden from the TN Wildlife and Fisheries deemed the trailer unsafe and would not let us load the boat on it. We had to rent a trailer to take the boat home. The warden said they would seize the boat and trailer if they caught it on the road because they deemed it unsafe to the public. We wait 3 weeks for the call and never got it. We called the parts department several times and asked if the parts was in but they always said they hadn't come in yet. So on August 22, 2018 we went back to the company to find out what was going on. The Parts person, Rick told us the parts had never been ordered and the person over the parts department had quit, so he would order them, to give him 10 days to two weeks. One of the fishing seats' upholstery was not done right and there was a large split along one side. Rick told us if we would bring the seat to him, he could send it out to the upholstery shop and have it recovered while he was waiting for the parts and it would accerate time for fixing the boat by about 3 days. So we brought the seat to Rick on August 23, 2018. We called several time to speak with Rick, but he always was unavailable. We finally got in touch with Dewayne on September 4. 2018. He told us that Rick had quit and the parts had not been ordered, and the seat had not been sent out. On September 5 John called about coming and getting the boat. They came and picked up the boat at 12:38 PM September 5, 2018. On September 19 we went to Boat-N-RV Supercenter to see what was being done. Talked to John. They were working on the boat. He said about another week. Got the boat back on September 24, 2018. We lost all summer, made 11 trips to Boat-N-RV in Rockwood, TN {that was 22 hours driving time} and was lied to by everyone except maybe John. Also I paid for a cover for the boat. The guy in the parts department that took my money did not give me a receipt and now they can't find an order or invoice for it. And I paid cash for it too, so apparently he put that in his pocket.
We picked the boat up and inspected it. the work that was done was real shoddy. they did put a new trailer under it, but the rest of it leave a lot to be desired.
While picking the boat up, 2 employee said they were leaving because they didn't want their name associated with that company and 2 workers outside said they hear complaints all the time from people that come to pick up their boats and rvs, horrible complaints.
One person that I spoke with said the owner Don could care less about the customers as long as he gets his money and that is why he keeps an attorney on site to handle all the complaints.
Also I spoke to an attorney and he said that Boat-N-Rv Supercenter is liable for the 3 months we were unable to use our boat. That damages could be awarded.
From now on we will tell everybody that we know or meet NOT to do business with these people. That this company does very poor construction on their boats. That includes the companies in Tennessee, New York, and Georgia
