DO NOT sign a contract with Boca Beauty Academy using financial aid. I know times are hard and you are trying to find some kind of education. Boca Beauty Academy is taking advantage of ALL of US, students that think that having financial aid is gonna help you pay for your education. IT'S a LIE. they "help" you very kindly until you sign your contract. they are gonna "help" get a huge loan that you think will be to pay for your classes.. but guess what? IT'S NOT. they are gonna add your classes, you are gonna get a loan, you gonna start your classes happy because you think you only gonna pay around $50/80 a month after 6 months (your federal loan) BUT before you hit 900 hours they are gonna make you sign documents and they are gonna "give" you a check with the "credit" from yoir financial aid ($3,000/$4,000)and they are gonna make you pay with this money (your money from the government) all the extra classes that you sign the contract for. remember when you added your classes because you got a federal loan for that? yep.. its not. they LIE to you when you sign this contract. and now you have a loan to pay and at the same time they made you pay with your credit money for the classes. so your classes are paid but you still gonna pay your loan. do you see a problem there??? all the students are being forced to cash this check and pay for the classes otherwise they are not allowed to finish the rest of the school. and a little bit more info for you.. you pay for classes like keratin treatment and during the class you dont use keratin, you gonna use kolesterol, so you are gonna have absolutely no idea of how to do keratin. they don't provide the materials that they promised (and YOU ARE paying for materials). your hours are always messed up. they change the staff almost every 3 months, including directors and teachers. please, before you sign a contract with  them, ask a friend about the school. its a lot of money throwing down the drain. I'm stucked over $17,000 . almost done (or maybe never gonna finish, because im gonna fight for my rights) with the school and I dont know how to do nothing. since I started I had over 5 different teachers. please I'm trying to help you. they are stealing money from everyone and its a looot of money. be smart.

Financial Aid was Accurately Computed

I have reviewed the allegations of the complainant with my administration.

Their financial aid package was indeed accurately calculated.

Most students whom attend post secondary schools will require a combination of both grants, typically Pell Grants, and Student Loans ( Direct Loans).

These government assistance packages are typically needs based and determined based upon each individuals unique financial sitution and tax return filings.

This student signed up for a Cosmetology program. The academic year ends at 900 hours. At this juncture, there is a calculation which results in either a debit or credit balance. This is consistent with all nationally accredited institutions.

Each student is provided with loan counselling prior to enrollment in order to explain to each student their rights and obligations. We would welcome the opportunity for this individual to sit with a member of our Executive team to clarify his or her situation and to determine where we can assist them.
