I had battled with Body of Change for over a year in attempt to get a qualified trainer. I started at the Block of Orange then tried Fountain Valley and Garden Grove, no luck.

I was foolish to sign up for more sessions believing this time would be different. I was again passed from incompetent trainer to incompetent trainer with no consistency and rarely a workout. I would show up each time to a different face telling me my trainer had left for the day and I'd have to reschedule.

As if that wasn't bad enough 7/31/03 I was informed that my sessions had run out and I would not be allowed to train again until another $160 was deducted frm my account. After I paid another payment I went in to train. I was now told, no sorry, we need at least another $ 300 before you're to be trained again.

No one could answer my questions, but continued to charge me for training sessions I was not allowed to use. Oh, if I wanted to cancel I would have to give a 2 week notice and a $250.00 cancelation fee. With the 2 week notice they'd have ample time to charge me for yet another month! I was finally able to get out of the contract by calling these crooks 10 times a day every day. I'm happy to be out of it, but angry that I have nothing to show for the thousands I had spent.
I just hope I can keep at least one person from going through this nightmare!

When I had first joined Body of Change, my training sessions were recorded in my trainer's log on a tracker sheet. I would sign after each session and was able to easily see the number of sessions I had remaining. After my last session in July I saw I had 2 pages of sessions left to be used. Each page held nearly 40+ sessions. The last time I went in to train I was informed that they transferred all of my sessions into a new computer program that would track my completed sessions. They logged me in and found that the system showed that all of my sessions had been used. I asked for proof. It was simple, just allow me to see my own initials next to my sessions on my tracker sheet and I would be satisfied. Of course all of my tracker sheets were boxed up and sent to corporate office in Phoenix, AZ and I just had to take their word for it. They didn't want me to have a copy of those sheets because it would prove that they owed me my money's worth. I am certain that this scam owes me at least another 80 sessions that I have already paid for in full! Even the district manager didn't know what the Hell was going on. Mr. Richard Reed at least helped me to get out of the contract, but I am still waiting to be reimbursed for the sessions I paid for but was not permitted to use. Is there anything I can do legally? This company has got to be stopped!
